Just an FYI in fat bike tires. You should adjust tire pressure for conditions. I usually run 6 to 8 lbs in snow, more for hard pack and as low as 3 lbs for really soft conditions. I use 12 lbs for hard dirt and 15+ for pavement. There's lots of fat bikers here in Anchorage AK. Thoroughly enjoy your equipment reviews. Keep it up.

I run Tannus Armor liners in my fat tires (4"x26"), and usually have the psi around 10-12lbs.

Thanks for mentioning and wearing the helmet! You appear to be new to the e-bike space. E-bikes are a wonderful mode of transportation, but just like LFP batteries, solar generators, and solar panels, they are becoming almost uniformly good. I'm almost to the point where I could simply spin a wheel and buy whatever product the wheel selects, and have a reliable product. You reviewer types have become so good that companies really have shaped up in terms of quality, I think. You're all gonna review yourselves out of your jobs!

Took my P6 on a 34 mile round trip over a flat mostly dirt trail using PAS1. Used just over 40% of the battery for the entire ride. So far my biggest issue is with the displays battery level indicator. 20% increments are to big. 10 - 10% bars would be better. A lot better.

@@Tensentities I learned that a couple presses of the power button bring up the battery voltage on the display.

Nice ebike, and I'm almost convinced (imo) that all of the ebikes are coming out of the same 1 or 2 factories overseas, they just tweak the style and specs, and add the various model names to them. I have a RadRover5 (2021 era) and have thoroughly enjoyed riding it. It keeps my 69 yr old knees exercised well, as I tend to try and use the gears more, and not use the throttle much, except on steep hills. Looks like you have a great trail system to ride. 👍
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад
Yeah, it does seem alot of these use very similar (or the same, in some cases) components. And yeah, I think these are a great option for older folks who want to enjoy the scenery and cover some ground without it destroying their knees. I love that I can literally dial-in the amount of effort I want to put into it from mile to mile and hill to hill! :)

Going to buy one for my commute to work. Definitely looking forward to it and should make the ride there and back more fun. Also looking into getting fenders for the bike just to protect it that much more. Thanks for the video. Very excited for it

Great review I’m fixing to buy a used p7 because atm I can’t really afford a brand new p7 let alone a p6 looks like a great bike regardless but it’s true fenders matter! 😂

I appreciate your attention to safety, and thanks for the comment on checking legal restrictions on local trails. Having seen you take your 200 lb body and 65 lb E-bike at 25mph on a walking/bike trail, I now understand why communities are pushing to restrict E-bikes on bike paths. And sure, I would get an electric bike as an assist to pedaling and be safe on trails, but there are too many people who aren't safety aware as they approach blind corners.
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад
No doubt there are plenty of wreckless people out there. Maybe I've just been lucky so far, as I've not seen any on E-Bikes...and perhaps that will change as their popularity continues to grow. I certainly do not go barrelling down the path at full speed if there are any other people in proximity. I HAVE, however, seen plenty of non-EBike road-bikers on the bike paths who DO fly-by people, easily doing 25mph, and with barely a verbal warning (if any). So at least from my limited observations, the concerns you're expressing certainly aren't exclusive to E-Bikers.

Can you remove the throttle and make it a class 1 bike?

Great review. I would be interested in the fenders for the P6 if you find them. Could you post a link for them? Also, I noticed in the start of the video you unloaded the P6 from a rack on back of your vehicle. I have a 2” receiver on my Ford f 150 truck that I would like to add a rack to haul the bike. If you could list the bike rack you use I would appreciate it. I have a Yakima 4 bike fold down rack but I don’t know if it is rated for the weight of the P6. Thanks Awesome video!
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад
I have yet to find fenders that don't have horrible reviews, so I haven't pulled the trigger on those yet. :P The rack I bought is fantastic. Got it on Amazon: amzn.to/43TCslz Easily handles 2 e-bikes with batteries in-place. That ramp is SUPER handy. Fits a 2" receiver. Not cheap...but I love the thing. I'll probably do a review on it over the summer since it was an excellent investment.

I bought one after watching the video! I just received it and have put my first ten miles on it. When I’m riding, it’s very quiet. I love it. I can’t help but notice tho when I first got on and every time I’m peddling slowly, I hear some extra sounds coming from the bike. When I ride it normal I don’t hear them. If I lift tire and pull the throttle I don’t hear it. And if I spin the wheel freely I don’t hear anything. Know what it might be, and do you hear anything from your bike at low speeds while pedaling?
@Jstood951
@Jstood951 Год назад
I suppose it’s possible it’s just the motor working? Sounds brake and disk related but I’m not sure how I would fix that. From what I can tell it is not rubbing while I’m off the bike. Can it rub while I’m on it?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад
I haven't experienced that with the P6, but my other E-bike has some brake rubbing that I had to adjust. I found some videos online that show how to adjust disc brakes on a bike. Was fairly simple to do. :) Might be worth looking into. Most bike shops will also do a tune-up on gears and brake system for a fairly small fee - even if they didn't sell you the bike. So that might be another option for you.
@Jstood951
@Jstood951 Год назад
@@ReeWrayOutdoors I’m fairly certain it isn’t the brakes rubbing bc the tires spin freely when I’m off the bike. Does adding weight affect that? It shouldn’t… but I’m no bike rider so idk. Hiboy told me I need to get a transmission adjustment. Not sure how that would fix the problem either.
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад

If it’s capable of speeds of 28mph it’s classified as a class 3 ebike fyi
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад
True...BUT, technically a Class 3 ebike, while capable of speeds up to 28mph, is not supposed to have a throttle-only capability (or depending on the reference resource, shouldn't have a manual throttle at all). So, this e-bike (like many e-bikes) actually doesn't fit neatly into either Class 2 or Class 3 requirements. But I blame poorly written/considered attempts at governmental regulation.

That you but You never go uphill. I wonder how this bike is on hills?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors 11 месяцев назад
Fair point. I actually just moved to an area with a lot more hills and you do feel the bike show down on the hills but it still manages to maintain at least 10mph even on a fairly long 15% grade on throttle only. I can easily maintain 15 to 20 mph with a little bit of peddling added in. I think if you have a lot of hills and want max performance under those conditions, a mid- drive would probably be best for you, but I remain very happy with the P6, especially adding a shock absorbing seat post.
