The track was sold like 2 years ago for around $500k, i imagine it was even cheaper now. Throw in a few big company sponsors and it really wasnt as expensive as people think it was. Also hes had the C8 pre-ordered for months now.

Nathan Bergmann From what I read recently the 0-60 times are 2.8 sec and the 2 McLaren’s are 2.9 and there are a number of cars that are double and quadruple the price of the C8. Can’t wait to see testing from several different sources. I hope they put the car through it’s paces enough to give dependability. It tweaks my britches to see American Engineering come through. Time will tell. For me, this is as exciting as when the 63 split window made its debut. The 67 made a big splash and I love it but my heart is still on the 63. BEARD0 an all inclusive is a vacation like to a resort where everything is included. You don’t pay for drinks or food unless you leave the resort. So you can literally just stay at the resort all week ( which is usually rather big ) and just practice getting drunk all week and doesn’t cost any extra. The only resort I can think of off the top of my head is in Cancun Mexico. Wish they had one in Puerto Rico, sadly they do not.

I talked with the corvette manager at the local chevy dealership, (he was out here with them). Supposedly the serviceability isn't horrible. My dealership services a large number of ZR1's (including mine) and Z06's so the dude knows his shit.

$320 for the dealer to pull the dipstick and check the oil level. I'll stick with my 2011 Grand Sport. Easy to work on.

Apparently there's a 700hp model coming soonish, there were test mules with enough torque to crack the engine cover.

@Danny Hayson if you watch either the first or second outside shot of him doing the burnout you can see it pushing immediately thru the locked front tires. Not enough weight on them to hold it back plus the tire pressures being what they were.

Check out The Fast Lane Car - they didn't actually use a Holden, they just wanted to hide that GM was testing a mid-engine vehicle, so they clipped a Holden front end onto mostly custom body panels and C7 Corvette parts. Really fascinating test car

I've been to this school on a track day and we were driving stick shift Camaro SS 1LEs (upgraded brakes and suspension with an NA LS3). The instructor was also driving the same car and still telling us each how we were fucking up the corners and how to improve while mid-corner himself and I had no clue what kind of witch craft the man was pulling off in the cockpit

Chris like I said, it's apparent to an real car guy that you have to work on it from underneath. Cletus doesn't work on anything, the guys in his shop do, but he is merely a helper at best. The statement you made about "GM telling how to tear it apart" lets me know that YOU don't know how to work on anything either. You can pull that C8 in my shop and I can have the entire power train out in an afternoon with no manual needed, just sayin
