Long time viewer here. You guys are great and love what you're doing here for aviation. Now, i love a Petenpol but the clear winner in the video are the numerous BC12's in the background. I have a few ratings myself and currently fly a A321 for American but my goto GA aircraft is my fathers 46' BC12D-85. All around awesome fun on a budget! Keep em' coming guys. Great stuff!
I love these vlog videos. I learned to fly in a 1968 Cessna 172 and after I got my pilots license in 1978 I bought me a 1940 Piper Cub clipped wing for $1,200. It was slow but I loved that Plane. I ended up selling it in 1991 for $9,500 because I didn't have time to fly it with two kids and a full time job. I have recently tried buying it back but he won't sell it.
Really enjoying you guys and all the videos you're doing. Just joined a flying club in my area and several of the guys (70+ y/o) were talking about you. You know you made it when even the older guys in the hobby know about your website and RU-vid channel. Thanks guys your teaching me more and more every video and making crashing not feel so bad
Thanks so much for the kind words Doug!! Without you and the rest of the community we wouldn't even be here!! So, THANK YOU and I hope that there are many happy successful flights in your future! ;) Blessings friend! S.O.
Spectacular! I hope full scale Fridays is going to project in to the infinite future. Is going to be the cherry on top of the cake for me. Now that you gave us the vlogs you can not take them from us. I am enjoying them to much! I am going to need my regular fix
just had an idea. tie two quad together with string 10-20-30' (what works best) and fly them together with two pilots. then when you feel confident get another team of tied quads race them or go through a obstacle course.
I hate VLOGS...except this one! I laugh at every one of them. They are great. Not only that, they are also teasers for the next full episode which is fun too. love the Pete's. So beautiful!
Thanks for the kind words Chris!! We are blessed to be able to do what we do because of you and the rest of the community! So, THANK YOU! Blessings friend, S.O.
Hey guys, a few of my college friends and I are considering looking into building our first aircraft together. I have had a hard time finding people that build Pietenpols in Southern California (LA Area), assuming because they would be a hassle in our airspace. I was wondering if ya guys had any recommendations for a nice starter plane that's as cheap as the Pietenpol. I have found a nice number online, but was wondering if any of you had a recommendation. Thanks!
So where's the footage from inside those cool old birds :( Loved the phantom crashing through the gate and the other egged on crash under the table lol
Hey guys :) I'm a big fan of the channel, and I wanted to ask when the full scale episode is coming out, or if it has already been released and I'm just too stupid to find it ^^ Really looking foreward to seeing more footage of those tiny crafts.. they look amazing :)
The parachute harness and container are of WW2 design but judging by the fact that they are made of nylon I suspect that they are of post-WW2 manufacture.
We did have the Skateboard in a VLOG already where we talked a little bit about the components and rode it around...SUPER FUN time! ;) I believe its VLOG #3 S.O.
FliteTest I'm sure you could add a remote to the skateboard and do something silly ;) Possibly some fpv vids around town and maybe even something like tow a glider etc.
Congrats Stephen. You gave us the shots that we love to watch. lol Amazing views are great.....but admitted or not.....we all prefer a good crash video.
haha Anything I can do for the betterment of the community, I WILL DO!! you guys deserve it ;) haha I can always pick up the pieces and fix stuff right? :) I am sure there will many more crashes to come! ha Thanks for watching Chris! Blessings, S.O.
I wouldn't consider myself a "pilot", but I do have a Blade Nano that I am learning with the aspiration to upgrade to a miniquad one day.....then I will get to watch my own big crashes.....the nano crashes tend not to be very spectacular....usually stuck in a tree when it looses signal.
I heard you mention about doing a review on those new FatSharks.....is that something that is coming? I actually just ordered mine yesterday through you, but I have yet to see a really good review on youtube anywhere on them.
Thanks for the support Jim! I think you will be pleased with them.. of all the goggles I've used these are the best for the money.. (in my opinion..) wide field of view, dvr, vent fan, included module.. they have it all! -Alex
Flew Full Scale all my life, but never finished the journey. Completing the requirements for my private now. Plan on sharing the entire process all the way to commercial.
I saw a Welsh flag t time 5.08, I live in Cardiff. S Wales UK. It was a treat seeing that flag. I can only assume who ever own the flag is Welsh or has Welsh heritage.
That was the owner and operator of the airport..Forest Barber. Not sure if he has a heritage, but I WOULD assume that he does! ha Thanks for watching all the way from Cardiff! Blessings, S.O.
Philip Johnson they are available on line, look them up and also check out the various forums and communities. you saw a few variants here but you wouldnt believe how varied these things can be and theres a ton of information out there covering the many alterations made. you could be a purist though and build an original plans version complete with big ol' all cast iron flat head 4 cylinder from a model T.
Philip Johnson ...Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, holds the license for this aircraft. They sell plans and materials kits to build the complete aircraft. Aircraft Spruce is the world's largest supplier of homebuilt aircraft parts and supplies.
A small tip... could you please try to get music and voice volume levels a bit more in sync. I know it's nothing significant. Thanks you for amazing videos and overall great sense of humour..
Saucy kitty says... SPIDER! Grin, this was Great! I enjoyed it so much, but was I the only one worrying about Josh? If he takes a dive with a Bixler foamboard creation he will still be there to end the video, but if the ground come up and smacks him, THAT IS THE END... Sorry, it's the father in me...
I got a pair of fatshark dominator se and I can't get the things to give me a picture that doesn't go black? Then on a different quad they do the same thing, using the other guys quad and googles it will go black what do I do
Hey Sweet_Caliberr! First off thanks so much for watching, we really appreciate it! Second, Talked with a few guys and if you look at the bottom of the SE's there should be a switch that says RX. It should be on 1. If it is not that might be the reason its going black. Good luck and keep us posted! S.O.
your main videos keep getting shorter. These vlogs are cool But id prefer better longer regular shows like in the past. You know with the intro that made it more like a tv show than a you tube channel
FliteTest Well done Gents. Love the mix of Neistat and FliteTest original styles. Truly magic considering you guys just started this format. Cheers. Eric
Yes sir! The new FT SPEAR will be coming out near the end of September! Be on the lookout for the videos and the store listing SOON! ;) Blessings and thanks for watching! S.O.
Btw could you make another ontro into fpv again? The technology has changed so much and im getting into fpv multirotors and im kind of lost on how to set things up and whats the best equipment to use. Thanks in advance!
