Very thorough guide showing how to reseal the rifle, glad I am not the only one that has o-rings flying everywhere 😃😃. Thanks for sharing, sure many will appreciate this video.
Brilliant video, loads of information, thank you so much. This saved me from getting rid of my rifle, since we do not have any agents in our area to service our rifles.
Another great video, very informative as usual. If you can at some point in a video, I would like to see how you re face the firing valve. As I find things like that very interesting. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
I have an Air Arms S510 TDR and I have a huge problem with disassembling this rifle. My AA has a protection on the tension side in the form of a truncated screw with a cone at the end. I don't know how to remove it.
What a fantastic video. Very clear, and confident. I have a question. I’ve just bought a s510r and when I picked the gun up, I was warned not to fire the gun when the cocking lever is extended because it damages the trigger sears. Guess what - I fitted a magazine, failed to return the cocking lever, and fired. It did not sound serious, and gun still seems to be working fine. And I notice at the end of the video you ‘decocked’ by pulling trigger when the lever was extended. Any comments? Do you think it does any harm? Thanks.
Thanks for this very informative video,I have a S510 ultimate Sporter in .177 what would cause a fluctuation in power from shot to shot it's up and down from 11.5ftlb next shot 10.9 next 11.3 and so on up and down the rifle is a non regulated version. Thanks
A great video, giving you the confidence to keep your Air Arms rifle in fine fettle. It should save you a few quid doing it yourself instead of getting your RFD doing it 👍
Another excellent video well documented and easy to follow. I have an early AA S510 Extra FAC version and was wondering if it has a regulator fitted as standard. I was also wondering if the power adjuster could be easily changed/modified to the same notched version as the newer S510 Ultimate Sporter which has 5 distinct power settings. Tks in advance.
From a tuning point of view could you remove small amounts from the hammer on the none contact surfaces to lighten the hammer and reduce the power to just under 12 with the port screw fully out, thus hopefully sharpening the lock time without getting too in depth and changing spring tensions and the like, the reason I ask is I have an HFT 500 that makes the best part of 14 ftlb with the port screw fully out, and in all honesty I would sooner it be a little sharper on the lock time as opposed to chocking it down below 12.
Hello Sir, Thank you for a super, instructional video. May I ask your advice, please? Is it a good idea in general to cock a pcp before filling with air? I have heard of this and thought the idea being was to get a little bit extra air, a few more shots before having to refill the cylinder. Would another section be open, maybe the regulator? I also didn't know you could de- cock a pcp, I thought you always had to fire the shot off. I was afraid of damaging the internals? It would be really handy to de-cock and not have that noise. I live in a terraced row and although my initial neighbours are fine, I'd rather they didn't hear those noises. On this particular topic, the less they hear and know, the better. Generally, people see anything ressembling a gun and knowing nothing about them, expect the worst, when its nothing of the sort. Thank you, again, Ian.
Hi Yes i always cock the rifle before filling from empty it takes the load off the valve and makes it easer to fill in some cases, you can De-cock most pcp's it will not damage anything as long as you hold the lever/bolt as you pull the trigger 😀
A compelling watch even though I haven’t got an Air Arms PCP anymore🤣 This is so informative and easy to understand and I’m sure anyone with one of these guns who needs a step by step guide will follow it with confidence👌🏻 Would be very keen to see an HW100 guide like this, mine has had a leak for ages and I’ve got the bug to service it myself now. Thank you for sharing👍🏻
@@sub12airgunners thanks for your prompt response. I always follow your tutorial videos. I watch your tutorials for the guns which I don't have because there is always something to learn from you. However I am waiting if you could make a complete strip and rebuild video of Artemis M16 PCP tube version
