Very good. I would not mind in giving the car for servicing to a person like him, but, unfortunately over 95% of mechanics/garages are crap, if they are able to replace a tire, they call them self mechanics.

Hi when fitting new tappets do you have prime them or fit just out the box also do you have to line the hole in the tappet to the slot in the head, good video, thanks
Hi! You have to install them as you extract from the blister. Regarding to the hole, it is not neccesary to align with the slot because the slot is all around the diameter. Kind regards
Muy buenas noches, un saludo y una abrazo desde Chile, una consulta por estos motores (motor fomoco o motor Ford) por que llevan esos tipos de retenes de eje de levas ( es decir son retenes sin resorte en la parte del labio) cual es la diferncia con los otros retenes. Muchas gracias.
Hola! Ese tipo de retenes se diferencian en el material emplado para el labio de sellado. Este material se denomina PTFE (Politetrafluoroetileno) y su principal cualidad es el bajo coeficiente de rozamiento, haciendo mas duradero su funcionamiento en el motor sin producir desgaste en el eje. Carece de muelle dado que el labio se adapta al eje, después de 4 horas tras el montaje. El echo de que no disponga de muelle hace que disminuya la presión del labio sobre el eje, y con ello el desgaste del eje. Un saludo

(example mahle, specialized in engine piston)

Hi! These bolts use an angular tightening, therefore, they are lengthened in their first use to guarantee the maintenance of the sealing pressure. That means they are for 1 use only. Regarding the replacement of the cylinder head gasket, it depends on the grinding of the cylinder block. This is indicated in the workshop manual for each engine. Estimados tengo una perdida de aceite por un sello, existe algún otra forma? de sellar las piezas de los minutos 11:46 y 13:05, con alguna junta o empaque en vez de silicona o gasket (no sé el nombre del pegamento que sale ahí), Estuve leyendo y es una falla común en este tipo de motores HDI Citroën o Peugeot. Encuentro demasiado frágil ese tipo de junta. Tarde o temprano fallará. Por lo demás muy buen video, muy instructivo, se agradece a la vista la limpieza del trabajo. Saludos desde Chile.
