They are both unwatchable for me. It’s the tone of voice and disrespectful attitude while he’s sitting there being so reasonable and very very gently pushing back and being overly receptive to their point of view so he doesn’t trigger them anymore than they already are. Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority used to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspended 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border after deportation That left out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stopped legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement many immigrants re-crossed multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns was about 40% of border crossers. We had a 11 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42...

My respect for Robby has grown exponentially throughout this last year for being able to handle people who don’t want to discuss the “upsides and downsides” of topics but instead draw extremely hard party lines even when it means contradicting themselves or ignoring hard facts. He always tries so hard to bring them closer to the middle and bridge the gap but it’s like their brains translate it into “this sounds like a right talking point” and they just can’t. He needs someone more like a Bill Maher personality who has his strong views but is still mentally capable of having independent thought that leaves more space for common sense and seeing multiple sides… and is willing to go against the grain to express them.

I gave the guest co-host a fair chance but after a very short while i had to force myself to stay tuned in. Her air of superiority, disrespect for Robbie, and overall rudeness only added to being a know-it-all. Cheers for Robbie for being a gentleman and not making an issue of her inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. If she returns i will turn the program off. There are several women i have made positive comments about recently. There is certainly no shortage of highly qualified women to fill this seat. Joe Buyme has been a very effective President, getting lot's done. Unfortunately, it was all bad policy for this Country. The UN, through UNRWA, supported the Hamas organization. We have the Constitution and with 1A + 2A for protection but, I would remind everyone 10/7/24 was unprovoct action by Hamas. I had a hard time picking a side on this issue, and I don't think you have to. If you want to simplify things, ask yourself this. Have the Palestinians ever supported the US? Have the Israelis? Will the Palestinians ever support the US. Forget why and be realistic. Also ask yourself this, why have no neighboring Arab neighbors offered to take in Palestinian refugees. They have a border with Egypt.

It's often called a wasted vote. Well, I tell you right now that people with that mentality calling it a 'wasted vote' do not support democracy. Every person's vote (or choice not to vote) MATTERS. It is their voice that counts no matter the statistics or party bandwagon/cults people like to ride. A vote for someone other than the Coke and Pepsi candidates is NOT a wasted vote, it is NOT a spoiler vote. People. Do not succumb to the close-minded peer pressure of your friends and family. Vote your conscience. Don't get wrapped up into the power dynamic of Coke an Pepsi. Don't get fooled and mesmerized by bias partisan leaning so-called news outlets. The more people who vote for other than Coke and Pepsi, the more likely there will be some positive change that America needs so desperately right now. At this point (my opinion), voting for either Coke or Pepsi is just 4 more years of tax payers' money wasted on a system designed to keep you busy with the whole 'us vs them'. While you're all balled up in your mini battles of us vs. them, those who are in power can keep doing their BS stuff. Pull yourself out of the Coke/Pepsi challenge and see that there are many other tasty, healthier drinks out there to choose from.

Reagan, in his debate with Mondale was questioned aggressively about his mental state (only being in his sixties, at the time) and famously quipped that he would not hold his opponent's youth and inexperience against him. Even Mondale laughed. If you have the mental capacity to engage the audience and even to move your opponent in a debate, you have the capacity to be President. Biden couldn't finish a thought. His mind was terrifyingly confused. And this was after a weeklong prep at Camp David. Isn't it possible to find someone on the left who can express good faith opinions?

The problem is that everyone thinks that he/she knows the law and knows it even more than the Supreme Court itself. She says that it is the Executive that interpretes the law. Who taught her that? The Supreme Court decision is unbaised and valid. Intriguingly, she is effectively arguing against seperation of powers (which is the halmark of democracy) by arguing against interpretation of the law by the Judiciary. By the way, the Supreme Court is an appellant court and not a court of facts. What that means is that it does not hear evidence or making findings of facts and that was why it returned that matter to the lower court.
I don't mind listening to people I disagree with for I might learn something. Today I learned to give my opponent the idea that I partially agree and then go off spouting excuses, strategic half truths, whataboutisms (her word, not mine) and baseless predictions while interrupting vigorously with an annoying voice.
The vast majority are Muslims from the Middle East and Africa. They are not liberal or conservative they are usually traditionalists of their culture. This is why there is tension in Europe around migration. With the USA it's different. We have a culture of immigration with a society that has less problems assimilating people. In the US we have a long standing tradition of assimilating foreign cultures into the society. While Europe has much older cultures that they may want to protect.
