Fantastic set up!! Great to have friends like Chris to help when needed and vice versa. With this solar panel system you certainly have all the power you will ever need for the Bar area.

I have a very strong curiosity about the cost of solar power, the panels and and the inverter cost. My husband thinks it’s not worth doing at our ages we are 60 years old. I’m much more interested in saving the Earth for future generations than he is.

As a woman with very, very little idea about solar power, the associated contraptions and wiring, even the names of these things, I would like to tell you how much I appreciate you including us in your thought processes. I actually learn something or have a point of reference which I then can return to when in doubt. Thankyou. It's been fun accompanying you both on your journey up-to-date. When the BBQ is fired up, throw a 'shrimp' ( prawn) on it and have a beer for me. Prost! 🍻🍺

We got them from Leroy Merlin but many places sell them for a similar price 79€ a panel for 405W

Good look at the solar setup there Andy, cheers for that. I’m going to be doing a small setup soon to power my ham radios and CB from a leisure battery so it was good to see. I got a 12v breaker to go between the panel and the controller, but hadn’t thought of the breaker/fuse between the controller and the battery..thanks for the heads up, better safe than sorry and all that..great video and well done Chris for helping..and making it to the third step of a ladder..I seem to remember he isn’t keen on heights 😬😆👍

Cheers Mark. It's always a good idea to consider a fuse or breaker on any live feed - Avoid those MC4 plug in fuses - they don't last very long. We now always use decent DC breakers
