He has done alot and proposed positive ideas in parliament. A very competent person who has voiced on behalf of Singaporeans more than any PAP MPs and ministers in parliament. Vote him and other PSP candidates be elected in coming GE.
I dont even know much about PSP before this but this guy really gets it in his speech. To be completely fair, maybe better put together than what Mr Pritam Singh spoke about
Well said. Keep up fighting for the ordinary citizens esp the poor n middle income group. This one time handout is enticing people to satisfy their greed, covetousness n leeching.
Reflect: Thanks PSPSG for sharing the topic. Indeed in solving the rising cost of living issues, we need a long term plan. 1. Build a stable passive income safety nest for ALL Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. 2. Introduce Universal Basic Income (UBI) to homemakers and caregivers who have given up their career to take care of young children and seniors at home. 3. Continue to maintain Singapore Currency in the strong position especially within Southeast Asia regions. 4. Build good and stable relationship with Southeast Asia Countries especially neighbouring Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia. 5. Build an Eco System within Southeast Asia Countries. 6. Continue to monitor and manage the inflation rate. 7. Investment in high technology. 8. Reap the harvest together in Southeast Asia. God Is Love! 佩(贝)玲笔。🙏🏻💕🌻🌏💕🌈
Well said, government keeps blaming external factors for our problems, but how does the rest of SEA have such low cost of living? Are they not subject to the same external factors?
Saying support is useless as you know many dirty tricks have been lined up to fix Leong. Singaporeans are in this dire state because they betrayed the very real Singaporeans who spoke up for them by not taking the PAP to task for all the nasty things they did to critics' and opposition.
What Mr. Leong said in the Parliament is very very true. Mr. Leong is very honest, brave, sincere, intelligent, truthful and kind hearted. He is a hero, he wants to voice to the government because of the rise of the cost of living. He really have a GOLDEN HEART for we ordinary people. He is like HRH Prince William. Mr. Leong will make Kind Hearted, Compassionate, Reliable, Intelligent, Sincere and Respectful Poltical Leader. May JESUS Bless, Love, Guide and Protect him and party members always. 🙏 🙌👍🙋♀️
@@GwendolineTeo many people used to think of PAP 2G and below like this. These days PAP cannot even beat the Msian and even Thai Parliament in protecting the interests and rights of the native citizens.
This is true, i sold my 2 room flat in Punggol around 2 years ago during the pandemic and the plan was to get a 3 or 4 room flat as planned when suddenly within a span of afew days, house proces shot up so high, i could not afford even a 3 room flat with HDB asking for a clawback from my proceeds of my home in order to secure a HDB loan and until today, ive been living under rental scheme with my 4 young children. Significant things can change by the flip of a coin in SG and i worry i might not be able to afford a home anymore.
Yes agreed, I was looking for a resale flat at that time too through property Guru. The prices just keeps increasing just within a span of few days. 🤦🏼
i agree with leong Mun Wai for government to control cost of living down as lots of middle class and below are suffering. The problem is the government split Singapore inflation into different category like car, property and normal consumption the actual inflation is not just 4% but may rather be higher in 6-7% range. To cope with this global inflation plus local policy, they by right needs to raise overall interest to higher than 6-7%. This however will collapse those individual and company w huge loan. As such they use GST hike to slow inflation to nominal category and heighten COE & HDB price to cope with differential increase in price to slow inflation. The roots cause of the problem is becos wr are getting higher fuel price from 2nd route broker and not from producer(like russia).
Mr. Leong, I like your determination speech in helping to speak up for millions of Singapore at the cost of living, increases in Electricity, Water, Transport Fare.
Yes, very true. Vote Mr. Leong into Parliament 2025. Singaporeans need this good opposition speaker to voice out our poor Singaporeans sorrows to the PAP Government. May GOD wil listen to our humble prayers. 🙏 😭
Singapore kaopeh but no balls...please n please...Next GE...give the opposition a chance...5yrs to let them prove what they can do...if really not good..then at least nothing more to argue... If not...at the very least...let more other party to take up the parliamentary seats
He is like my gifted son sent by the Lord Jesus Christ to my family. Raffles Institution provides many capable students like Mr. Leong Mun Wai.I begin to like him more❤
N T U C Source from cheap currency countries but sells in Singapore dollars thats why their top management are getting richer whereas our local seniors are still selling tissue papers at train stations
Another issue is the widespread road works currently in progress. In some cases, the roads are being digged and re-digged within a short space of time. Is all this expenditure necessary?
@@lamjianyuan Hope they will be happy as life could be difficult being non citizens in a foreign country. Until they become citizens of that country, they will be considered as second class citizens and will not enjoy the same benefits as the citizens, especially if you are asian in a caucasian dominated enviroment.
Sir. Thanks, more weight will carry if you get yourself votes in Parliament as MP. Life is unpredictable and I wish all in good health in the Parliament sitting. Keep strong to all stay healthy.
Wages are rising fast only to those top management thats why it always eat into their companies revenue causing the lower salaried to get less bonuses when year end profit sharing are concern, especially those local gamily owned companies when comes to year end bonuses they keep saying no make money. Yet their own immediate families are living in luxurious n going for long holiday with their family.
In fact when global inflation Government GST revenue has already been increase even without any increase in GST. As such, with an increase in GST it would definitely add fuel to the fire. Singaporean have to carry the burden of high cost of cost of living for their whole life. Government approach of short time handout to help tackling the problem is not enough
Wrong, that’s the conventional way of SIMPLE assumption. That’s was what I thought too until you realised that your wages are still STAGNATING while Cost of living are RAPIDLY increasing, thus leading to everyday people HOPING AGAINST HOPE that they could at least BUY A CHANCE for a life altering windfall despite how low the probability is.
@Dollarmb-pk6ub Singapore pools winning prizes are still same but inflation n food prices have gone up even Toto no more quick pick 0.50cts that have gone up 50% n system 7 also gone up 50% in bet money.just calculate those in take in betting will bring in tonnes of extra money but 4d winning numbers still remained at 23 sets should increase to more draw numbers.
Not just the govt becoming a profit seeker in direct competition with the private sector, they are also the market maker for the property sector, manipulating property prices through policies intervention and changes. In short, SG didn't behave like a Democratic country, everything profitable is being earned by the govt. They really suck the mother out of each and everyone of you.
Since the start of independence, LKY and party were quietly but surely cornering all the highly profitable businesses for themselves and their cronies to run and cream off the profit. Back then, many could only whisper in resentment when their growing successful business was met with suddenly stringent bureaucratic checks and forced to sell away to offshoot companies of GAIC. Temasick etc
What you wrote the comment is very very true. Do the government have consciousness for the poor Singaporeans. We all worked very very hard to make a living in order to survive. Do the government really have a heart to see the Singaporeans suffering!!!!!
I don’t know how many times PAP have to tell you they are using Investment return to fund the budget. Can you resolve this issue instead of saying gov has ample reserves? Or else we are back to square one.
People are sick of PAP doublespeak like saying you own HDB so you have to pay property taxes and maintenance fees but changed to HDB is just a lease when they decide to enbloc for their cronies development like those 3 blocks in AMK or to stop you from exercising full ownership rights.
Gst hike and hike. Water hike and hike. Electricity hike and hike. COE world record. Adultery, B&W, Corruption Investigation, The Sousa, Aiyah, all this is the Boh Bians ones leh.😅 But i believe when Invaded or Threatened an Invasion, our lions wont surrender citing "Aiyah, this ish de Boh Bians one mah.😁" We ACCEPT. DEMOCRACY. Boh Bian Democracy😅👏👏🤝🤝👍
Yes cost of living are rising , but people complain does not mean they cannot cope with it. Look at the queue for restaurant, movie theatre, shopping mall payment counters,. going overseas holidays. So far member of opposite party did not provide the figure of how many people cannot cope with the rising cost. The reserve is like your banking account, no such thing as ample reserve , if you spend only the return or interest that it earn for you, you will have long term money to spend. However if every time you spend your account (not the return or interest ) it became lesser, when true crisis occur again and again , you will in great trouble. So tell us, how many Singaporean really need help in your so call “crisis’
Shows you are not a working Singaporean at all. Even many retirees have given up saving and acknowledged the costs of shopping for ingredients and cooking it far outstrips the costs of buying food outside even though it is equally expensive and not necessarily to their liking. What PAP has successfully done is to force Singaporeans into a corner to pay high prices for everything even though it is only 1)3.5 the price from their country of origin. When Singaporeans were paying $6/- for a pack of Julie biscuits in NTUC, in JB no less than a few hundred metres away from the nearest NTUC, it costs only RM6/- and the expiry date is even further.
the most basic "FAN CHOY'.. now can cost u almost $10...everyone are taking advantage of raising their prices! savings can be wiped out anytime and wages are still behind and not catching up!!!
yours must be of a different charging prices...not all fan choy charge u same pricing ..that's why they are taking advantage of raising the price..i was shocked with only 2 choices that cost me almost $10... @@Dollarrmb-pk6ub
COE bidder database should comprise all the details what or who is causing the world record taxation on a common necessity as private vehicles. This info must include Quota that was set or applied.Lower Demand can lead to higher prices by shrinking the quota, technically speaking. Basic maths. Likewise, a Higher Demans for coe , coe price can also be lowered by adjusting rhe quota. If all things fail, can we change the Constitution?😅 Knowing the cause, it can be curbed. But i urge we must not lower COE as its a big revenue. In god we trust. In our leaders we must always believe😅
Mr Leong is trying to tell the whole world he is Singaporean who really and truly cares about Singapore and Singaporeans. I think hr feels he is even more caring about Singapore and Singaporeans than the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Years later, when he becomes more mellow and mature, I wonder if he will cringe when he re-visits this video.
I applaud the leaders for being such a shrewd financial manager. Cash payouts to help the rising cost from tariff hikes, gst, coe, water electricity is funded by the tax payers anyways. Rising cost by these factors eased by tax payer funded payouts. This in Science is called Perpetual Motion😅👏👏🤝👍😁 Theoretically speaking all gov in the world can afford the same. All landlords can also tell the Tennant: " hey, I very kind, I shall give you a cash payment of $500 to help you get by the high cost of living . Hope you enjoy my kindness. See you next month. BTW, soon, your rent will be raised by $600 in a month's time and from thereon till forever more. Enjoy your stay. Remember, everything is Boh Bian one." 😅
With such market domination, which I avoid calling it a Monopoly of sorts, should AUNTY U SEE not do more? I think it should profit as much as it can and maybe give money to some investor🤣
I believe it is hard to change the rule from the dark side, the world economic and living pattern is always being controlled by. The people behind try to make the world look worse than they step up again to help, make the price high and sell to the nation, after that the government tries to help subsidise, at the end at last the company makes money. For example medical or dental is not a big deal but it is said that it is a big problem or delaying the healing, comes back again. Pay pay pay sure win win right, so the nation becomes puppets. people don't know how to save money and do investment, only know spending then you have no choice worse scenario become slaves. I hope I'm wrong and I hope it will not happen in Singapore
I dont understand the concept of waiving land cost. We pay taxes for the govt to provide subsidies. Waiving land cost would just mean that we have to pay higher taxes to cover that land cost. I dont see how that helps.
Calling it a 'Crisis' is highly misleading. Are we really living in times of intense difficulty or danger? Are there 5% of the population being displaced of their homes or surviving on 1 meal a day.
Yes I have 3 kids and yes as well that we are struggling. Now that you know that, I would assume that you would simply dismissed it as rubbish since DISMISSIVENESS is a national pastime for political supporters of the PAP.
Yes yes yes, it is just you don't see it and the free press is stopped by PAP should they document it. Even many school children are going hungry but not those along Bukit Timah who not only have more than enough but still fight for public scholarships only for the prestige to show off to family and friends.
