Ya more feeeelings. Me and my wife have struggled for years to have children, and it’s definitely not a fun process. I am genuinely happy for those who have children and if we were to have success, we would love those children as any parents would. Let’s get real though, we account for 4 jobs, 160 hours a week, and our savings has been diminished over the past 4 years. Our groceries are exponentially more expensive, our rent is more like a mortgage payment on a 5 bedroom home. 🏠 Feel good stories are great, going to bed hungry is not. Americans are working two jobs and still struggling to make ends meet, it’s great that this VP candidate had struggles and fought through adversity or whatever his experience was, but I’ll be Frank, it means nothing coming from a lying politician. Real Americans have real problems, politicians have politically convenient ‘struggles’ and you people eat it up. So what? The guy loves his kids, what father shouldn’t? Ok, so they had a tough road to a beautiful family… AND what is special about that? We all have these experiences! But somehow, this is what Americans ‘need to hear’ because why? I’ll wait. I was a professor for 30 years and I love the idea of having a former educator in the top tier of our nation's government. Often, when there have been conflicts in Congress, I've thought, "They should have some teachers to call for order and keep the discussion productive." I am a former republican, that changed to independent when DJT was elected 8 years ago, because I could not be part of a party that supported that madman. Through the years, I have voted for republicans and democrats both. I voted for both Bush's and I also voted for Obama. I refused to vote for Trump, but also did not want to vote for Biden. My views are pretty centralist on most issues, as I do not veer hard left or hard right. I watched the DNC, but my expectations were pretty low, and I did not intend to be impressed. I loved the Obama's speeches and thought that would be the highlight....but HOLY COW...this guy...I had never heard of him before this night, hadn't even paid much attention to Harris' pick for VP and didn't even know his name. By the end of the speech I had laughed and cried, and wanted to roun out and sign up to whatever he was a part of! What an incredible speaker he is! But what drew me in, was his normalness.
