Also getting sucked in is not just to do with proximity, its position and angle too. You can stand next to the engine but there are certain placings that arent safe.

@@KerbalOnDres1yes they are. The engine even at idle has suction power. I work as a ramp agent, and we were taught not to approach aircraft that arrived at the gate until the individual fan blades can be seen, or 30 seconds after the engines started spooling down.

I involuntarily smiled ear-to-ear hearing that start up. I love jet noise! Especially GE engines. The B-2 Spirit has a signature sound both in hangar and in the air.

The jet engine will be controlled by engineer operator underneath aircraft, for twin-jet will be controlling by 2 persons, not the pilot and co-pilot for starting and turn off jet engine it.

@@davidwarda5616firstly, different engines have different safety zones and distances at different speeds. Secondly, we don't know what speed it got up to, it may not even have been ground idle at that point. All I know, is safety is key and no video is worth the risk. Once an engine has you, you can't do anything to stop yourself hitting that fan. Even if it can't suck you through, it's going to give you un survivable injuries.

I have a curious question; why do so many airlines like the 767 P2F conversions? Why don’t we see more old 777-200s or A330-200s being converted for cargo after passenger airlines phase them out?
