My Parents Asked Me to Leave My Home Because I Didn’t Give My Savings to Her. Now After 8 Months, My Mom is Calling Me for Financial Help. #redditupdate #redditstories #askreddit
LOL OP still doesnt realize that his parents never chose him, he was all thats left. When his sister comes back after the moneys gone he's gonna wonder how they threw him away like that after everything he has done😂.
They will leave her the house in there will if i was OP that would have been part of the agreement the house is mine after ye are gone no ifs or buts .
@@deppresedonion6320 same thought, but then again house might be way to costly thn loan... But still gotta put some sort of agreement as a loan or something to cover the back.
This guy messed up. He failed to get a contract in place with parents, he should have insisted the house as collateral, so when they die he gets 100% of the house. Aubrey is coming back and when she does she'll be back in her position of golden child, she'll get the house and op will get sweet FA
That's not family, and I guarantee he's gonna get screwed when the sister comes back. She'll probably come back with a couple kids and demand that they help her if they want to see their grandkids. And they will cave, and this dude will be right back at square one.
If I was in his position, I wouldn’t agree to pay off the loan entirely. They need to pay off the majority of it, he can pay them a little bit of rent, but that’s it.
I like a good reconciliation story/redemption arc but this one..? The ONLY reason the parents wanted to "reconcile" was for his money and not out of genuine remorse. If the sister comes back and the parents immediately turn their back on OP, he will have no one to blame but himself and maybe his girlfriend a little. He is a fool who didn't even put a contract in place. Big L.
Gotta say, OP's a lot kinder to his parents than I would've been in his shoes. I would've told them to kick rocks. After the preferential treatment towards their golden child, to the point where they gave an ultimatum to give up his savings to his sister to fabricating stories to the family to turn them against OP, I wouldn't blame OP if he did what I would've done. After all, they didn't come to the conclusion that they were wrong on their own, they only came crawling back to OP when their Golden Child betrayed them.
Why is this kid having to pay this debt. They couldnt go to family or remortgage the house. But no we are going to get the money from the whipping boy. She will come back and throw you out.
I'd have either told the parents to give their daughter money for her business idea or told the sister & her bf to get jobs to make their own money to build a business. Then when the parents threatened to kick me out over the money i would've packed & found somewhere to go ASAP... & if i helped with the loan stuff in the future there would be major conditions to it to make sure i don't end up getting screwed over somehow in the future if/when the sister returns or the parents were otherwise done using me for something 🤷🏻♀️
The OP's decision to help out his parents with the payment of the loan took a lot of moral fortitude to make it happen but at least his parents are willing to do the right thing and mend relationships with him, but he was better off asking his parents to go NC on Aubrey if she decides to contact them in the near future for good measure.
bro they kicked u out and ignored you and now that the golden child betrayed them, they want you back and u accepted ur a doormat and whoever that girl was who suggested u should help ur parents only said that because u really wanted reconciliation with ur parent's she should of told op the truth and not tell him what he wants to hear op is a doormat
I don't understand why nobody in these stories just tells everybody the truth I can see why some people on Reddit don't want to believe that any of these stories are real because it's like come on man just tell somebody the truth especially if a family member or a concerned friend of the family is wanting to hear your side of the story that's all it takes for everybody to be like oh now I see why this happened but of course nobody can get behind you and understand that part if you're not telling anybody else to fucking truth literally come on it's not a fucking math test on thinking like how do I figure this out like that's why I can't get in these stories and then when the person updates all of a sudden it's like what happened to like just telling the truth to everybody why is there all these different changes now
What's with these novels supposedly on Reddit? There's a limit to how much can be written in a post so shit like this is just someone writing a story and acting like it was a Reddit post
This is a hard story to Belive is true. You’re parents where out right disgusting towards you. Op parent most defiantly deserved what they got from their daughter. Why aren’t the parents working their asses off to pay off the loan ? Ushualy colledge students are broke and in no way able to afford loan payments
