You are soon going to have trouble out doing yourself with subtle variation to your sweet, funny and honest delivery, maybe. But if that day ever comes we will love you even more. Wonder woman got nothin on you. Such a joy to watch. Gump is responding like a purebred stallion and you react like a proud owner/trainer having the time of your life. Your decision to do you boo, doing youtube was a boon for us all. See ya soon. Thanks again
Littoe big tip: NEVER get a Wi-Fi camera security system. Hecause creeps can hack that system and use your cameras. Always get a wired system. Much love. 😉
I like the way that your Forester's suspension set up for the curves. Look how level and stable this puppy looked as it went through the curves at 7:10.
Hi Sarah I think it is the first time that I see you braking a car with images from outside, in the other videos we see only images from inside braking a car with your reaction. Off course I’m talking about the breaking test 👍🏻✌🏻
Lived in tucson by Ina rd, seems like a lifetime ago, fabricating cars and hitting that back way out of the city. Quite the loop to Phoenix and back through the mountains, brings back memories ... The vast emptiness always made my wanderlust kick in and just drove as fast as possible running from ? I wish I could have met you, still runnig....nobody's perfect, but we could have had some fun
I used to run -0.5° camber on my daily when I was young, dumb, and autoX on the weekends. Amazing the difference a little negative camber can make. And that look on your face is making me want to do it again......
I have a 02' WRX that I am rebuilding. In the meantime I bought a 09' Forester X 5 speed for my daily. I put ISC coilovers and rear LCA's on it to lower it a little. I didn't slam it. Like you I cannot believe the difference in the handling. It is like a go-cart. Now I want to do a full STi swap. Down the rabbit hole I go.
Rocks and a tape measure works fine. When we started street racing we spray painted the starting line in the dirt, paced off the 1/4 mile and sprayed the finish line in the dirt. Close enough for us!
Regarding your watering eyes, people tend to select max / recycle to get the coldest air from their car's AC. Unless the unit can operate frequently by drawing in outside air mold will form in the ducts causing everything from bad odors to allergic reactions. Try selecting air from the outside for a few days and see if that helps.
I've had SimpliSafe for over two years now, couldn't be happier. Initial cost, monthly monitoring, ease of installation, and versatility are all spot on, can't beat it. There's really nothing not to like about their systems..
Yup, gotta love the easy brake install. My 02 Tundra front brakes are the same. I like the home security system. Mine needs refreshing. Thanks for sharing.
I think your "Rocks & Tape Measure" system is much more accurate than my usual 'Bout There "measuring". 😁 I'd say over 8 feet shorter on the stops is a very significant improvement. Your reaction to the improved steering response is kind of like mine when I switch from the winter tires back to the normal ones. "Woah, I forgot this car actually turns!"
Sarah, your cars are so clean, you dont need to worry about torquing your wheels in white shorts and a yellow top. Also you really didnt need to use gloves in this viseo at all. The brake pads change was amazing for how clean everything down there was.
Its honestly always great to see your genuine reactions to performance and handling!! I end up just smiling myself watching you. Btw the gump is looking better than i expected. Turned out awesome. This is the 1st simplisafe ad ive watch thru completely on your channel. I typically skip over. Another great informative vlog.
Coool....sponsorships! The satisfaction on your face during those first turns says it all. Your research and work has paid off and Mr. Gump is a beast now! Congrats on a project well done....go Simplisafe!
Liked your presentation of simply safe. I've heard about it from a radio station, but you showed a few cool features my wife likes. Now, like that you did the brake upgrade. Been kicking around an upgrade for my ST.
Hey Sarah, Love your content and attitude. Keep the vids coming. Can I offer a small bit of advise. I am also someone who works alone in my garage a lot, with the door closed. Make sure you keep your cell phone in arms reach. If you ever get stuck you have the option to call the neighbor to help you out of a jam.
Glad to see you're still modifying and enjoying Forrester Gump. My slightly modified 2016 FXT only made it about 32,000 miles before I put a hole in the engine block. I bieve that LSPi was to blame.
Love that gap, that's how I enjoy my street car, too. I want it to be able to handle bumps without scraping. I have a Lifetime alignment at Firestone, it's saved me so much money from different wheel combinations and suspension repairs/upgrades.
I really like this build. I have a 09 Outback sport That I am building an overland project out of. I lived in Tucson for a few years. I really enjoy your videos. 😎🤘
Everyone does their brake bed-in differently, as long as it works, go with it :) At the track I go to in Maricopa, they'll occasionally send members out on their own to bed-in their brakes on the back straight, that way it's as controlled and safe as possible :)
Always enjoy your content! Just a little suggestion for the front wheels to be setup with abit of negative toe for better handling, as they do toe in on acceleration. Positive toe for the front is typical for a rwd. And the weight/ load of the driver does attribute to the camber setting as well since the alignment is setup in a static environment for a dynamic situation. Just my 2-bytes worth. :) again, awesome work every time 👍🏼
THAT is her genius. You THINK you stopped for the looks, and that you stayed for the knowledge, but really, it was the maple syrup brake pads. You must have some Canadian heritage.
12:48 Getting your rocks off and showing your 'Yucca face'! Great channel content as always Sarah, always love your inventive way of adapting to a lack of suitable tools/equipment :)
I love your OCD oh, I know a lot of people don't appreciate that much detail but I do and difficult to get people to understand why you take extra time to make things perfect
Now I’m really rooting for you to get a shop. I want to see this manual conversion, and I also want to see tetertot get its new clutch. You Rick Sarah. Keep up the great work
This is the way I like cars are tuned/modified. Not just another slammed car, but a car that is universal. Lowered but not slammed. Better at corners but not hard so you dont have any comfort. Love the way Forrester looks and performs right now. I'd love that my Skoda Kodiaq could drive like this. It's a cool car but lacks a bit in acceleration and needs better brakes (and better looking brakes too).
hey Sarah , you should take a measurement to the rear quarter wheel well and give the spring ring a turn or two to prevent any rubbing and save the new tires it only gets worse with any payload or passengers big bumps etc. till you can get the heavier duty springs you mentioned - I hope this isn't bothering you, my comments ! you defiantly have better braking also get the STI master cylinder to complete the package ! GUmP may needs some rally strips soon - go Sarah cheers ! i was thinking your getting some nice cars there .
Hey Sarah, I just wanted to point out, that with the Brembos typically they actually perform slightly worse in a standard 60-0 braking test when compared to the basic 2 pot brake setup XT's and WRX's have; HOWEVER, the Brembos will not overheat when tracked! So please remember this if your results for the 60-0 test are not what you expected. For example I drive a 2011 wrx and my shitty stock brakes have a better 60-0 stat than a 2011 sti with Brembos. But the still can go track their car for the day and not experience any brake fade. I have tracked my car once and my brakes got COOKED quick!!!
Those wheels, (and stickers) look so good! Good job Gump! I also love when my own tyres get loads of stones and pebbles stuck to them, sticky tyres ftw!
Beautiful. Car. No, seriously, you've really turned this thing into a beast. It looks awesome, and seems like it gets down with road performance as well. Congrats.
I feel like you could just bring that back end up about 5mm and problem solved...and damn you, now I'm looking at Foresters! Looked like it handled great!
