Hey just wanted to say thanks for your videos. They helped me figure out what to prepare for. I'm new to this and am in my side hustle phase. I signed up for Amazon affiliate and haven't made a dedicated video yet (still working on building my library), but I have already worked on adding affiliate links to my description until I'm ready.
I wish I could quit my job someday and just have one full-time job. RU-vid with my day job is two jobs. The biggest sacrifice for me is loss of sleep but I can't financially or emotionally quit either. Filming videos is the only thing that helps me to keep going to work on concrete day after day.
Was in the same position. But honestly, it’s a leap of faith. I’ve been told nothing is worth sacrificing you peace. And if that’s what your doing my friend. Seek peace over reverting you deserve it. And when put into a position, you will persevere.
@b-roy4001 Actually, this is incorrect. I never spoke about peace. I do not get as much sleep because of my workload, but that is not about peace. Sitting back and waiting for a layoff and getting adequate sleep is the antithesis of peace. Maybe I was not clear, but you are very mistaken. Until you need to create, you will never understand a creator.
@@ClairenParkerontheRoad I do create, I’m also a full time editor on the side and continue to build each and everyday. But sacrificing sleep, leads to issues with health, I know this from my military background. No, im not a doctor. That is correct, but I was working a full time job as well. And it wasn’t until I realized I lost my peace which in turn for me was sleep, time for myself to build my personal brand, and focus on what actually makes me happy. This is my secondary personal youtube profile. I was just trying to lend a hand. So I apologize if soemthing came of wrong. I thought we were heee to uplift one another. My apologies. My greatest so far is about 2500 views on a video. Though, really, I’m only 6 weeks or so into this. Also, I’m only have 1350 watch hours and 160 subs though I am already able to monetize via Amazon. Not huge money, but it’s start and it’s growing.
@@ChatB.E.G.beautyfitness thanks. Sort of fell into it after plotting for years. One day it occurred to me that people like to see stuff in a given niche (NOT the one I’d always planned on) and I was working on stuff around that niche so, I started recording.
Never lose hope and keep envisioning yourself in that full time position!! Keep that end goal in the forefront of your mind and it'll be yours sooner than later!

You don't. You could review stuff you have. You could also do lists with ideas about stuff you don't have. There is a faceless strategy for this as well. 🙏🏻

Adding one more comment since I’m re-listening…… shooting for my first $100 by the end of this month (August) Also, my solution to the suck at first part is to just suck faster. 😂 so 2-3 videos per day typically

Ok well, I guess I am not your target audience for the Free Workshop playing now 8/13/24. I guess it is geared toward highschool/early college age people that need to learn how to be productive and have a work ethic. I have gotten some good information from some of your other vids. For me, I am getting ready to launch a channel. I am not looking for information like your need to have a system for endeavors in life. I am looking are there specific "systems" proven to be more successful in long form vs short form and what systems work better for what genres? Once you are rolling with a growing channel, what are the best ways to monetize it. Are there genres that do better with a particular type of monetization, and other genres do better with a different type? How close should you pay attention to your growth so you don't freak out. How do you interpret your own growth. What is the most efficient way on RU-vid to track your progress against similar other channels? How long should you wait to pivot if your channel doesn't seem to be doing well. Things like that is what I am interested. Finally, thank you for your work. You are an asset to youtube and society in general.
