The wall made of rocks that you mentioned in the beginning is called Gabione, and yes, it's basically a cage filled with rocks :) Some people like the modern look of it, others hate it. What's positive about it is that, contrary to a concrete wall, these things offer a lot of living space for insects and small lizards.
Kaiserslautern in 4 hours west. Its on the other side of Germany but thry have nice housing since it was Air Force area. But the houses are compact. This side of Germany is more green and spread so they have room for the homes. I lived 5mins from Altenstadt in Parkstein. all lovely
I lived in Parkstein and always grocery shopped for fresh foods in Weiden. So beautiful! the ideals of the homes, i want to make sure we have when we build here. The rolladen, the tilt n turns, the concrete/rebar builds. Now, the gabby walls I like bc you can customize and make designs (they do it near Fredricksburg here) BUT this is Tx and I dont need spiders hiding out😂😂 Gabby walls would deter people from climbing n sitting bc those things are not fun on the knees during an obatacle run🤣🤣🤣thanks for the view and memories of how beautiful that area was/is❤❤❤
