Dennis, You are a WIZARD of Canon printers man! Truly admire for sharing. ..Just bought old iPF600 that will need much care to bring back to life. Will be delivered in few days. I feel more confident after watching this. Thanks mate ;)
@@dennisthefatkid absolutely, subscribed with bell, ..and with pleasure ;) ..from other videos I see you are a wizard of many thing :) like that. Greetings form Lithuania!
This is THE VIDEO of Canon printers. Thanks a bunch for going through each step of the process. How do you clean/flush the ink tubes from ink tanks to the carriage? Do you have a video about this process? Thanks again.
@@dennisthefatkid Thank you, Dennis :-)) I went through the steps you showed in the video, trying to service the purge unit today. I encountered a problem: the vacuum pump at the bottom of the purge unit DID NOT allow any water to pass through. So, I had to rotate the big plastic gear connected to the pump by hand to be able to flush the old ink. I am not sure the old ink was flushed out!!! Your video showed no blockage of water by the pump as you flushed the lines. How did you bypass the pump? Also, I have a horrific time to find these two pads in the purge unit. They need to be replaced. Where can I buy them? Thanks again for the great video!
@@windsurfer3329 hi sir, yup.. I have to rotate the big gear in order the water pass through /flush out the dirt, if the water doesn’t out from the black tube , it meant the purge unit is problem. I suggest to replace the whole purge unit (better to purchase new purge unit) about the pad you may purchase with Canon , may I know what model you using now? let me check the part number for you by tomorrow
Hi Dennis, Great video. I am using it help me replace the purge unit of an iPF780 ImpagePrograf. I only thing I can't do at this point is the 'wired connector' that connects with the old Purge Unit. There is almost nothing to grab onto and the release pins are tiny. any suggestions? Thanks! Rob (I can send a pic if you like.)
Very detailed video thank you!!, i have one question i hope you can help me with, i have old canon iPF 6400S, which i got for very low price, it's working fine except it's PM or M(Can't really remember which color exactly) Color doesn't print at all and on nozzle check it's basically doesn't exist or very few nozzles working and not in a straight line, old owner told me he got a new print head and it printed less than 10 prints and same issue happened again no PM or M Color, could it be purge unit? or something else?
Hi Sir, yeah… print head and purge unit are related , since you’ve replace the printhead , try check the ink tube of M & PM, is that filled with ink inside, if no… you have to replace the purge unit. My advice is ask for professional to do the checking, let them quo whatever related parts is spoilt before repair
Hey man, i got an old ipf605 that was off for more than a year. when turned on the printer asked to replace the printhead with E161-403E. Turned off, cleaned the printhead manually and reinstalled, turned back on and printed just one nozzle check pattern with service mode, at this point the printer shoewd an hardware error and i turned it off. When turned on again in Service mode, it displayed "replacing CPU" and then "close upper cover". Can anybody help me i'm stuck 🥲
Hardware error 03130031-2F26 is a carriage motion error. In this blog, you will learn how to troubleshoot this error. Try check cartridge belt, carriage shaft… is that any foreign object blocking, if no.. you may try to lubricant some oil to carriage shaft. Hope this can help you 🙏🏻
I have the 03130031-2f1f error on my ipf755, which indicates purge unit, which led me to this video. The process looks simple. What are the chances this clears the code?
I have same printer. Canon ImagePrograf ipf605. I have Error code 03800500-2F2F : non discharging error. Solution: Replace Head management sensor. Can you help me? How to fix?
Hi there, I’m sorry to heard about the problem , my advice is observe the head management, is that the red light (red led underneath the head management sensor) on? If light off, it meant head management sensor problem , try check the flat cable which connected to head management sensor , be careful while pulling out the flat cable
@@dennisthefatkid Thank you so much for your help! I got it working! Very happy now! The print head just needed to be re-installed., and the contacts cleaned.
@@عبدالرحمنباعقيل-خ9ل in my experienced , some rail were dirty , use tissue paper wipe it will do , after wiping it … it will zero oil and it’s no good for carriage … therefore we need to oiling it again
@@dennisthefatkid if i unlock the carage from the service mode and move it to access the purge unit pads And unlock the carage should i turn of the printer or work with it on And if u turn it off the carage will lock or it still unlock
@@عبدالرحمنباعقيل-خ9ل can, you may unlock from service mode , but it will absorb and wasting ink, once the print head is move to centre you have to power off before taking off the purge unit
amazing video, i was about to throw away mine almost new, i have already cleaned the printer head and error dissapeared but still i can not print, only few black characters, is it the purge unit? or maybe ink tubes? how do i clean ink tubes?? Thanks for amazing video!!
Hi hi, try check another video in my channel, you may check the black ink tube , if no ink inside you may refer this video to solve it … thanks for your support 👍🏻
