Just found this channel and this build. I was lucky enough to attend the rollout of the first AH-1Z at Bell’s plant in Texas so this build definitely got my attention. Superb build my friend, superb.
Beautifully done. Just an FYI in case you decide to build another, as well as general information for everyone else. Academy provided the wrong color for the top of the fuselage. The correct color should be FS 35237, not 36320.
Hello Dusan!! Once again, your video shows me how far I am from your incredible talent and skills!! What a pleasure to watch you giving life to all these kits! Merci beaucoup, friendship and respect from my beautyfull medieval town called Provins, France.
So much skill and attention to detail. I wanna buy complete models. Don’t have the time, patience or dexterity for this kind of craftsmanship but I love models.
Your amazing. You make it look so easy .I really enjoy watching you too. I get all of your assembly ideas on especially your amazing paint jobs.keep up the great work.
Man, that is one beautiful chopper. Great job. I want to build one so bad. I have a few dioramas that I'm starting on in the next couple weeks to sell and I'm hoping they go quickly so I can get everything I want to build one of them.
Gryphon Arms USA not least the kit, kinda helps I find. I have seen this for sale on eBay quite frequently at very affordable prices, even with exchange rates if buying from an international seller I am sure you will find one at a great price, happy modelling.
Just got this kit. My short review: it’s very basic. No crews, this compound the problem that the seats do not have belts. No engines. The front fan face are totally wrong. Not a big problem since you can barely see them once the intakes are in place. If that bothers you that much, try to get the old MPC AH-1W engines and graft them onto this kit. The Gatling gun is very anemic. I mean no slide mold=WTF!!!! Get aftermarket if it bothers you. Good. Great cockpit despite seats. Great details. Parts breakdown ensure various versions. Great weapons outfit. Rotor assembly easy.
Incredible work man! I’m not really interested in helicopters that much but I really enjoyed your video build of this. I also love the mr Hobby products you use cause it’s the same as what i use :) awesome work buddy
Superb job once again Dusan. Did you enjoy building it? It seems that Academy stepped up the game with this one, slide molding galore. I couldn't resist and just ordered one for myself. 😎 All the best!
The details on this kit is awesome. Questions: 1) did you need to use putty? 2) why not dry-brushing the instrument panels? 3) post shading after the wash? I love watching you build these masterpieces!
Academy on completely new level! Amazing build Dusan! For metal finish I recommend AK Extreme metall paints. Much easier to use as Alclad and fantastic finish. Question. Why black glue?
Just amazing work here! And seeing all the details on the models itself, you cannot get any better for this price! Cartograf.... :) I cannot decide between this and Trumpeter Mi 24v in 1:35. Maybe I get both.
Your modeling work is awesome! Watching your work from start to finish is very motivational. I am going to get my own model and give my best shot at making it realistic!
fantastic as always Would you please make a video about colors and how to use them? for example how should I mix revell acrylic colors with water or mr.hobby with thinner ? this is so confusing for me to get the best result I would be grateful
Aircraft Resource Center...best site I've found for modeling. Tons of great guys and information. Tools and Tips section off forums will get you squared away👍
From the side you look, it seems there is nothing complicated, but how you begin to do it yourself always fails. Excellent video will learn to collect models.
What an awesome kit Dusan fantastic result I'm going to be ordering one myself after watching your video thanks for sharing and for the inspiration. Cheers 👍🏻
Incredibly well engineered kit by Academy, stunning build by your hand! Wish they'd come out with more modern upgraded helo kits in 1/72. Not sure about the black tinted solvent glue you used only on the bottom of the vert stab, what is the thinking behind the color? As usual, a beautiful job, Dusan. Thanks!
Brian thank you! I have only tested the Mr.Cement SP black. Similar strength as regular, but the joint is visible for sanding. This kit was intended and started as a 72nd scale release but obviously it was upscaled during the development period. Maby in the future there will be a 72nd scale offerings. All the best! Dusan.
