Note to beginning modelers that may be watching this video: It isn't as easy to do this as Dusan makes it look. Don't be discouraged if you don't achieve results like this in your early models. I've been doing this for years and can't match this workmanship. I can't believe how steady his hands are!
if available, especially beginning, or even experienced trying something new, like going to biplanes for first time, best to start with the larger scales. I like 1/48, and will do 1/72 if the real plane was large, like bombers. I don't have space for 1/32, but they would be good if you don't see that well.
@ Mishn0 A bit patronising I think, especially to beginners who need words of positive encouragement only. Every builder builds slightly differently, and the end result to the builder is the most important.
@@skinbackyourpeel I did not find his (Mishn0) words "patronizing" at all, only recognizing each person has a different skill level, and should not be discouraged from trying to achieve better over time. Practice does make better, but never "perfect" is the message here. If a builder is satisfied with mediocre results, fine; but most of us, me especially, want to continue to improve our "end result" in model making.
I'm going to say you're easily one of my favourite modellers on RU-vid, unlike some "pro's" who love to say theirs is the only way of doing things and put down other people's efforts. People should take note on how a real pro does a tutorial. Keep it up!
I equate your skill level to a golf pro. Golf looks easy when an expert is doing it, then you try and realize how hard it is. You make it look easy, your skill level is amazing. Thanks for posting your work, I appreciate it.
I don't build models, nor do I have the desire to. But I enjoy these videos due to the excellent craftsmanship. I like how confident he is while putting all of the parts together.
nice job...it's unbelive...this plane is connected with starting of my career in czaf...I remember, two mig-21 on the runway at night...forsage...thank for your videos🤟🏻
@@marcogarbin2977 Yeah same here in Germany, less strict regulations but it did give me the necessary shove to finish tha Longnose Dora that I started over a decade ago and never finished. It's done bar the final weathering now, after four months of working on it otf and on. A great hobby and a sanity saver isn't it?
Ive bought and built 3 kits youve showcased. Hope youre finally getting a peice. Cause ive been watching your builds for 3+ years and you were pro bono for a minute there... Thanks just the same.
after 45 years of modeling I've finally received my first airbrush lol going through a lot of paint and videos these days trying to learn how to make a realistic camouflage ! this video helped ,but would be better if paint ratio and pressure measurements would help alot thanks 😀
I love this plane, have made several "Fishbeds", some in 1/72 and a couple in 1/48. Even converted one to a model rocket. Flies like a "brick", but is very stable, without added fins. Takes off straight then rolls over an does barrel rolls, a real crowd pleaser. Shows how aerodynamically "designed true" the real plane was!!
The mig 21 is stable at high speed. At low speed like landing and takeoff the thing is very unstable and difficult to control, plus the engine takes forever to spool up. It cannot handle any kind of negative Gs because of the fuel system, and the engine will stall if you go above a very moderate aoa. The thing is a kind of a death trap for those that don't understand it, and that shows in it's safety record. I love this jet because of all its weirdness.
@@MF-og1ct good information on the real plane, but I was talking of a toy model, makes a great little rocket powered conversion, cuz it flies true and does not "wiggle around" like a lot of plastic model conversions do, looking funky and unreal as a result. I'd recommend this model as a first-time attempt to PMC a model rocket, best in 1/48 scale to begin with. :D
@@MF-og1ct yes, a 1/48 would take a C6-3 or C6-5, as I have done with two PMC's. A 1/32 plastic model might take a D or E. What I also did was scratch build a 1/24 scale Mig21, in wood and paper, using "normal rocketry techniques", and flew with a D. Being roughly the same aerodynamics, I was "pleased as punch" with the flight performance. I painted it as a camo scheme, green, brown, tan, gray underside, with some kind of Mid-East markings. Not a PMC, but a "normal" rocket model. I imagine up scaling even much further to take the more powerful composite Aerotech engines could work too. Anything is possible in model rocketry, and as I, and many others I imagine, always say: "what could possibly go wrong?", eh? Cheers! LOL ;D
@@ronschlorff7089 Yeah, I have seen some crazy stuff. One guy at my club put a composite motor in a modified umbrella that had a motor mount and fins. When the ejection charge fired a mechanism he machined released the spring opening the umbrella as a parachute.
Dusan, You know I'm not a jet guy{working on a Ta-152} but always a pleasure watching your vids my friend. The "little" Mig looks good. Unique {to me } camo scheme. Congrats!
Who the hell hit the dislike button, just wonder what those people’s models look like. How long did it take you to finish this beauty? Decent job, keep it up 👏👏
Very good modeling with Mr. Hobby Water Acrylic Paints! Your finishing is amazing. Many Modelers in Japan prefer lacquer paints, Valejo or Citadel colors to Mr. Hobby Water acrylic paints. I like also this kit and Mig-21 series. Thank you very much for your great job.
ScaleModelAircraft You are an inspiration to me in airplane model making. My You Tube Channel also deals with model making. I build most armored vehicles and dioramas. But I have also built rescue helicopters and fighter aircraft. Just take a look if you have the time and desire. Greetings Ben
Its very old kit, from Letohrad .In this time bestest 1/48 mig -21 But this kit have litle wrong rudder. You need corrected rudder from CMK, also metal parts , foto-atached parts and resin ejection seat make this kit better.Meabe you need new decals. Same problem had kit from Fujimi and Academy version MF and Bis
For some reason I though the fit of the main parts was worse, maybe that's the Mig-15 kit. Need to get me a VNAF Mig-21 as will be vacationing there in October
Do consider building JF 17 of Pakistan Airforce or FC 1 Chinese version.Your videos help me alot to excel in my hobby. Excellent as always. Keep it up.
💪👍🤘✊ sehr gelungenes Modell... Ein Helikopter (Mil Mi 24 Hind D, Chinook) in 1/32 wäre cool... Oder ein großes Fahrzeug Es macht sehr viel Spaß beim zu schauen Weiter so 👍
