@@Tellzel107 the problem with the House of “Reps” is that it’s composition is based upon FRAUDULENT (or non-existent) national census figures. Accordingly, they should just keep the Senate with its equal membership representing the constitutional ‘equality’ of the states.

And until they start giving jail sentences to any government officials or politicians that loot money, Nigeria will not be better irrespective of any new constitution.

But you forgot to acknowledge that the reasons for our woes and agitations today are no match to the boom of the early 60's before 1966. Nothing on earth will ever be perfect but there will always be a better choice. The 1st World Countries don't have a perfect Constitution but you cannot deny their prosperity, can you? The same way these folks are bad-mouthing the present Constitution was pretty much the same manner that folks derided the 1963 Republican Constitution (which followed the 1960 Constitution) during which Nigeria lurched from one CRISIS to the next (add the Western Region’s State of Emergency, the treason trial and imprisonment of the federal opposition leader Obafemi Awolowo, etc., etc.). When Constitutions CHANGE but the problems remain, the problem is NOT the Constitution.

Nevertheless, sound economic or developmental policies have little or no nexus with Constitutions - South Korea grew into a prosperous First World industrialized nation largely under military dictatorships (starting General Park). Singapore moved from Third World to First World under a one-man virtual civilian dictatorship, while Dubai (and the UAE generally) have joined First World prosperity under an absolute monarchy (same with Saudi Arabia). Even China has moved to First World prosperity under a Communist dictatorship.

The interrupting coups and counter coups just took us several years back Constitution-destruction-wise particularly after the Civil War which necessitated the military issuing decrees to STRENGTHEN the Centre with the intent to weaken the regions to avoid possible cessations. It is under this Constitutional that UNITARIANISM that the Rotimi Williams led Draft Constitution Committee completely made everything worse because what his team came up with in 1975 is very largely the pivot upon which the ALMIGHTY STRONG CENTRE is erected coupled with the kaki boys continually smuggling in very deadly decrees that made up what we know as the 1999 Constitution from the equally Draconian 1979 and 1989 Constitutions. Please, recall, the EXCLUSIVE LEGISLATIVE LIST assigned to only the CENTRE ("FEDERAL"), has 68 very sensitive powers for any country sound growth and rapid development; the Concurrent Legislative List has 12 powers of items(items not at all sensitive to, in my opinion like those of the Exclusive List at the Centre, growth and rapid development at the States Level which should be the main focus of sound growth and rapid development, i.e., if we assume that the grassroots at the LGA's ought to be the MAINEST FOCUS) assigned to BOTH the Federal Government and the States and the Residual Legislative List with, as far as I am concerned, no power good enough for the kind of growth and rapid development of the 21st Century, is assigned only to the States. I believe you are well read and would, please, have the time to try and go and look out all the power items in all the 3 distinctive LISTS and reassess things. What is BASICALLY needed is to give those 68 powers to the States with the exception of leaving things like Foreign Affairs, Defense(Military), Treatise Implementation, Extradition, Immigration and Emigration(Boder Control), Printing and Mint(Currency), Supreme Court and the States will have their own Supreme Courts as well. However, there are far more superior Legislative List Model for governance that the likes of Rev Okotie in his thesis, contained in TOKO, has to present before this Patriot Group just like every other Patriot who is not in this group would present for comparison and to maximise what is considered best for us as a country to be promulgated into law if this status quo means well for Nigerians. The group must have the peoples delegates who must not be partisan, present or past: just Patriots. Some of the people even present in this group that we watched on RU-vid in this video do not even fit into my description. I come in peace.

Then offcourse, we must ensure only non-partisan Constitutional Delegate will be involved in the process when the time comes for the elective process for the delegates.
