@@DalesLeatherworks hey Dale. Would it be possible to get a new video or comment on how the boots patina'd after the birchees treatment? Did they age normally like they did when new, or was there a difference in how the roughout scuffed and formed a nap? Thanks!
The Birchees and you did a fantastic job on these boots! When finished, were the boots tacky? Or does the wax help the conditioner dry a bit? I like Skidmore’s and Obenauf’s LP, but after conditioning the sticky surface attracts dust like a magnet. Either way, you made great looking rough out boots look amazing and new. I found this cuz I’m considering ordering a pair of Nick’s or White’s in the waxed flesh. Glad to see the can retain the original look with some love.
Quick question on the Truman boot; do you know if the cap toe is fully vamped underneath like a traditional cap toe? Or, is it a two piece fashion cap toe?
Great video of the process! I will say, though, the music was brutal! I personally would’ve liked some commentary. I just got the diesel boots in coffee suede at a heavy discount and am on the fence on weather to “dub” them.
thanks my friend! i did a full video review discussing the process of conditioning these but wanted to make a quick visual video showing the process. i personally love the soft nap of the coffee suede diesels, i wouldn't use birchees on suede unless you specifically plan to weatherproof them against the elements. just know that if you do apply birchees to suede it will dramatically affect its appearance!

Visually, they definitely look great before and after. I keep hoping you get into White’s and Nick’s boots. Have you considered those? A few of their boots you would dig. Others a bit on the work end.
Don’t know how I feel about this restoration, aero. I really love the patina that you had going before the resto. The different shades to the leather was quite beautiful. But hey, they’re your boots... you do you and I’ll keep watching.
Those look awesome! In the Stridewise review he said Truman said the wax couldn’t be reapplied, glad to see it’s possible. Out of curiosity how does the sizing of these boots compare to other GYW boots? Thanks!
