As an owner of this machine, I would say that Deep Wash and Heavy Duty are really the only two cycles with the best agitation from this machine. All other cycles do not seem to overturn the clothes well at all. The heavy duty cycle lasts well over an hour, but if you choose TurboWash, it cuts the time to just a little over an hour. Deep Wash is our favorite cycle as of late, no need for Deep Fill the machine senses the proper amount of water. We only used the Normal cycle once, and will never use it again, there is no way the machine uses enough water on the Normal cycle. The Speed Wash cycle, as long as you use Deep Fill or Deep Fill Max, is honestly not that bad if you need clean clothes quick. Just some tips and tricks for anyone interested.

I agree. The normal setting is practically useless unless you need to wash a small breed dog, or one sock. The dog could literally just walk around in the shallow, gentle water for 57 minutes. On a serious note, when you use warm or hot water, with Deep Fill, do you get condensation on the left, and right side of the lid, as well as the grey lip of the lid? I have to get a replacement dryer because it arrived with a huge dent on the side, and I need to know if the washer needs to be replaced as well, or if this condensation situation is normal for this particular machine.

Seems to me that engineers in trying to gain that little extra bit of efficiency are sacrificing getting the clothes clean or rinsing out excess water. Can’t say this machine would be a keeper. Must say I do love the channel.

This machine seems fine to me. I just purchased the CV model and the matching dryer with the door that opens in two different ways. I have had my LG front load washer and dryer for more than 5 years never experienced a problem with them. The front load washer along with the new dryer will be moved to the basement apartment for my daughter to use. The top load washer will be more comfortable to use in the upstairs laundry room. Also with the front load washer my favourite cycles were the permanent press and towels. I would sometimes use cotton normal or bulky wash if I wanted extra water and occasionally delicate. I used Tide free pods and unscented bounce sheets in the dryer. I purchased LG again because like me my son has had front loaders for more than 10 yrs without a problem. When I get the top load washer I'm sure I will figure out which cycles to use. There was some good advice on the previous comments, thank you.

Great Post.. This washer isn't too bad. again its made to wash small loads of clothes or delicate clothing with this type of agitation. To make this washer more competitive, it should have a low impact/high impact agitation option. Low impact for smaller and delicate clothing and High impact for items such as sheets, jeans ,towels and bulky items. This machine is incapable of wash ing 5 pairs of jeans or 10 bath towels thoroughly.

This machine seems to work. But the agitator is too short and also does not continuously screw the clothes down into the water. It's back and forth motion disrupts the famous downward screw agitation of the maytag.

I’ve owned the impeller model of this machine (WT7300CW) for two years now and thought the agitator model would be better than it. After watching several videos of this model and its Wash action, I can say that I’m glad I didn’t buy it. This model literally plays peekaboo with the clothes, while mine cleans properly and will actually bring the clothes from the center and recirculate the clothes to the bottom. To me, it is what the original concept of an HE machine was but better and cleans clothes. LG is probably the only brand of HE top loaders I’ll ever buy.

@@richardmaher7629 the wash quality is better with front loaders. They require maintenance to prevent mold (usually needing the door to be left open) and whatever it is that needs cleaned out about monthly (usually up front at the bottom) and with typical usage they have a lifespan of about 11 years, they all have a known design flaw of the Web that holds the basket on.
