Been watching on and off over the past 6 months, what you do is inspiring. Very excited to hear your podcast with Mark Beaumont who I've been following for years, and also Mark Lewis, who I've been following his activities over the past year too. Keep going with your amazing efforts, you guys pushing the limits and giving your honest experiences is such a breath of fresh air compared to 'traditional' fitness youtubers!
I'm training for my first full marathon and took on a large client project in my new business and have a history of mental health issues so feel like I'm in a bit of the same place. Love that you're sharing with us. Makes me feel not so lonely or as if I'm not doing it "wrong" ❤❤
Hey Fergus, been following you for a while and after taking on your tips for open water swimming, i did my first swim at the beach today. Absolutely loved it, wasnt much but want to keep it going now. Truly an inspiration dude!
found you when I was going through a tough time mentally after being medically discharged from the Royal marines. First video I've watched in a while tbh as I've tried to majorly cut down on screen time but its good to see you're still doing what can only be described as stupid phys challenges. Watching you helped me a lot mate so thank you and keep on smashing it
Really like the fact your videos aren’t just a highlight reel of your life. It’s easy to show the fun stuff but this makes you human, well kinda, your still a machine even through the suffering.
It was nice to meet you on the top of Arthur's Seat mate. Appreciate you taking a minute out to chat. All the best with the training before coming up to my neck of the woods for one of my favourite bike loops (Once is enough for me though!) 💪
Just want to pop in and give positive feedback. Having gotten into hybrid training because of channels like this, it's motivating to hear you talk about struggles and makes me view my problems much lighter because you're not pretending to be perfect as some other channels try to be. Keep it up, I can't wait to watch more. And if you ever have someone with Olympic Lifting and running goals on, I wouldn't be upset learning from them. Lol.
Another great video, really showing the true reality behind work, family and training for such an epic event. I thought I had it hard with shift work and training for the full brutal so fair play to you for managing it all. Keep the awesome videos coming 👍👍
Loving the content, been watching for over a year now since your first Celtman. loving the honesty on everything and keeping it real for us to see. Absolute inspiration with all your challenges you complete and now training for the double ironman is showing what a beast you are!
I feel you on always feeling like you’re “on”. Between training, work, college, and RU-vid, it can feel like there’s no other time. I definitely can start to feel irritable if I don’t intentionally have some downtime scheduled in.
I appreciate your honesty again here mate. Good stuff. Love the thoughts on the 22/25 laps thing, I’m bad for beating myself up if it’s not exactly to the brief. Enjoy Peaky Blinders 👊
Fergus. Thank You. Your raw honesty is inspiring and totally human. All be it an incredible human and person. Inspiring. Rest assured we are all here for You. Total support. Stay safe and get the balance right. Take care.
Great call on seeing a therapist for that external expert guidance. Speaking from personal experience, try to find one that you click with - it may not be the first one you try
I love watching your videos, just notice your very Gordon Ramsey like when talking I.e using your hands whilst talking it’s fantastic as it show your passion… and without the swearing 😆
Impressive to go from 4 hours running to editing videos. Hope you got to crash on the sofa soon after. That's what I would be doing - although the days I have to keep going after a long run/ride help me recover faster - so it's all good man.
I know I am the only person watching these 37 inspirational minutes and responding with this comment, but here we go: in French, it'd be "j'ai fini" rather than "je suis fini".
