A project that many may view as being a PANE, but you make it look like a BREEZE to install!

Very PUNy. Having 3 windows in the space provides nice natural light.

Fantastic attention to detail in those corners!!! And I notice you pulling the wrap tightly toward the inside of the wall as you tape! Details like this are lost in an explanation, whereas seeing you do it gives a lot of great details and tips as you do it! GLORIOUS!!!

Like the install the only thing i may do different is the 45 strips you put on the bottom putting them in firstas they lap over the main sheet and possibly allow moisture into the joint. Otherwise informative install.

Seth I really liked the attention to detail and the concise explanations as you went along. I have noticed that some folks put shims at the bottom of their window to keep it a bit elevated off of the bottom window frame. I didnt see you do that. Any thoughts on that as I will be installing lots of windows into my DIY home soon.

You can add those especially if you need more tilt and air flow on the bottom. I have used this method on 8 windows over the last couple years and not had an issue.

I'm looking to have some replacement windows put in but no way are they going to do it thus good the right way you did. I worry they cheat and screw in from the inside and gliv it with caulking

thanks for the detailed instruction, it is very helpful. do you end up screwing in the bottom of the window as well?

The bottom needs to be left unscrewed. That allows any water to escape.

@@sethcraftworkshop thanks for the quick reply! would you recommend using the flashing all around a window opening for an exterior transom window as well? the transom window will just be a single pane trimmed into the back and front walls of our new shed build project
