Oh, also: that "pyramid scheme" scene at the beginning of the episode. 1) I love that they translated it as "pyramid scheme," it's MUCH better than the more literal translation in the manga. 2) In the manga version Bradley TOTALLY notices Mustang glaring up at him and thinks, "Hmm, I'm going to keep an eye on that guy."

Pretty sure the manga shows her rushing to gather a first aid kit, and Hughes just breezes through her attempt to help. Don't know why the anime didn't keep that.

She may have called someone. We don’t know when they found Hughes body. I could see her having made a call for help.

​@@Talyrion They probably do that because there are two anime based off of the manga, and they can't make Brotherhood exactly like the original, in which I believe the girl does get the first aid kit. They changed it so that you're not rewatching the first fifteen or so episodes of the original anime all over again. There are several instances where the original anime is closer to the manga than Brotherhood. Three that I can think of are in the first and second episodes, where Father Cornello spills his entire plan to Ed and Al before he even knows Al is hollow, and he doesn't know that Rose is with them. Then Al opens his stomach to reveal Rose hiding inside of him, and Cornello realises he's fucked up. Cray is ordered to shoot them and fails, and then Cornello sets the Chimera on Ed. That's how it is in the manga, as well as the original anime. But in Brotherhood, Rose walks in with them, Cray is ordered to shoot Al, fails, and then Cornello tells Rose to shoot Al before realising Ed is the Fullmetal Alchemist, not Al. Rose doesn't want to do it, but does anyway, because Cornello tells her that it's the will of God. Rose does it, misses, shoots Al's head off, and they find out he's hollow. The second time would be the fight between Cornello and Ed in the second episode. In the manga and 2003 anime, Cornello uses the stone to its full capacity, it rebounds, and breaks, Ed realises it's a fake, and that's the end of the fight. In Brotherhood, it rebounds, Cornello makes himself bigger to give himself an advantage over Ed, Ed uses the Leto statue to punch him into the ground, THEN it falls to the ground and breaks. The last instance is also in the second episode, when Rose is asking Ed what she should do and what she should believe in. She approaches Ed and Al holding a gun to them, telling them to give her the stone. In the manga and original anime, she doesn't do that. She just begs Ed to tell her what to do. There are also a couple parts in the manga and original anime that aren't in Brotherhood at all. The episode with the attack on the train, the episode with Yoki (although he is mentioned in Brotherhood before we meet him again later on in the series), the one with Siren, and then the episode with the red water. Those are all in the original anime and manga, but not in Brotherhood. I guess they didn't feel the need to put those episodes in Brotherhood because they didn't really have a meaning for them. They were kinda just fillers. So there's a lot in the 2003 series that's closer to the manga, like the girl getting the first aid kit, that's not in Brotherhood. It's so that you're not watching the EXACT SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN. That would be REALLY boring, and people would just skip over it because they'd already seen it. They had to spice it up a little so it wasn't tedious to watch.

The only time Envy is ever called 'it' is when he's been run down by Roy and is in his true form If you want to believe Envy is androgynous, that's fine. But at least call him 'them' instead of 'it." I don't care how much everyone hates Envy's guts, it's disrespectful to call a living, breathing human (or in this case, humanoid homunculus) an 'it.'

To elaborate a little more on exactly WHY his hands are shaking, Bradley says later in the anime that they were shaking out of anger because of Elicia's screaming. He then goes on to say that she's such an awful, misbehaved child and that Saleem would NEVER act like that (but that's a VERY unfair comparison, seeing as how Pride is the oldest homunculus and not actually a cutesy human child like he pretends to be.)

Honestly, I think the voice actress for Elicia in the original is....kind of lousy, to put it generously. Elisia is THREE YEARS OLD. Not only is the original voice actress for Elicia not really very good at voice acting, like, AT ALL, but Elicia is also THREE YEARS OLD. Elicia's original voice actress makes her voice WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY to mature. She sounds like she's more in the seven to ten range. WAY too old. Her voice is just too low and developed. I don't know if you've ever met a three year old girls, but their voices do NOT sound the way Elicia's does in the original Fullmetal Alchemist. Little girls' voices are high pitches and squeaky, like Elicia's in Brotherhood. The V/A for Elicia in the original FMA had a lower, raspy voice, like she smoked cigarettes the way Havoc does. And, again, she wasn't a very good voice actress. It WOULD be an emotional scene if Elicia's voice actress didn't sound like a shitty fandub. She's supposed to be what makes that scene so emotional, but she really just ruins the moment in the original
