5:46 yeah, this is one of the great “out of context” anime lines. I go back & forth on picking favorites between it and Trunks’s “Don’t shoot! This man isn’t Black!” from Dragonball Super.

Honestly, the fact that Hughes is still very relevant to the plot this late in the story when he hasn't been physically in the show since episode 10 or so? Pretty amazing. Not many shows would carry on a characters relevance for that long and do it effectively. But this show would.

6:00 there is a scene just like this in dragon ball super.. trunks says not to shoot goku because his not "black", instead of saying his not "goku black"

8:49: at this point I want to take the time to declare: what happens here between Mustang, Hawkeye and Envy from here on out, IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE MOMENTS OF THE ENTIRE SERIES and in my top 5 of all the shows I’ve ever seen, all time! Now back to your normally scheduled viewing!

Rewatching this episode just makes me just want to bow to Travis Willingham's performance as Mustang, the raw yet disciplined rage is incredible. Also funny being reminded he killed Lust voiced by his now wife Laura Bailey

Not to be "that guy" but also totally to be that guy, that's not irony. Irony implies something that's the opposite of what you would expect. For instance, in the next episode when Scar is the one who prevents Mustang from following the path of vengeance, even though that's exactly what he has done? That's ironic.

Gotta love how this episode is one of the darker ones with one of our heroes leaning into revenge and hatred, meanwhile the thumbnail is of them cracking up at one of the funniest lines of the series lmao
