FETA FAM!!!! First drive with this Fully built R30 VR6 engine in the Audi RS3 !! Breaking in the freshly built VR6 engine with some moderate boost 14-22psi to let that Wookiee sing the song of her people.
U alright my friend, fellow nogaro b5 s4 owner. I have a nagging issue where I get no boost at all, suspect it might be an n75 or wastegate issue but just shooting in the dark right now. Wondering if you have experienced anything similar. Much appreciated thanks
@@TC-db5fm Whats up noggy brother. No boost can be a few things. large boost leak, stuck open wastegate, damaged or broken impeller or turbine wheel or broken turbo shaft. bad n75 will cause boost to stay on wastegate pressure or the bust to fluctuate.
@@TC-db5fm do you hear whistle noises like a boost leak? You may have just popped a boost hose off some where, it's also not uncommon to pop a hole in the rubber y that connects the boost pipe to the throttle body.
@@darrell81 no whistles at all no, k03 units on a stage 1 plus tune. No tears on tbb as far as I can see nor any visible leaks in piping. I'll have to look deeper I guess. Help is much appreciated thanks
Congrats guys. It’s crazy to me how “car guy” shop owners and even anyone on the internet that professes to be into cars can’t see the passion and talent involved in building something like you two have done here. Hats off. Hope the future brings great things.
Hello guys ! I have been watching some of your videos for few years now, I have been working on VR6 engines for the last 24 years, I do have a full built MK3 Golf VR6 24V turbo AWD, Running on a precision 7275 turbo at 45 PSI of boost, I do know what you guys went through on you vr6 turbo build-up, because I felt all the pain on my own build-up, Only few people here may understand the pain, frustration the wasted time waiting for parts, or the bad feelings when something didn't work out too well and need to be done, A project at this lever for any car comes with a lots of stress, wasted time, and you got to have a lots of money to buy all the parts needed to build it, I the same way got my own tools and built my car inside my garage, so I personally feel your pain, it's a long road that need a lots of patience, I do wish you guys the best, I hope you guys enjoy your built cars, today I'm marriage, 48 years old with 2 boys, one 17 years old and a 8 years old, I stated my first VR6 turbo back in 1998 , had my first one for 10 years, and sold it, Now on my second vr6 turbo, I have this one for 14 years, and let me tell you guys something, enjoy every day of building, driving, fixing it, do what you like, life is short, my last 24 years working on my VR6 Turbo cars went buy too fast, I don't regret it and I would do it all over again, because I love working on my race car, it takes my mind from the every day stress we go through in life, to me it's like a therapy and every time I take my race car out and hear the turbo spooling up it puts a smile on my face, Life is too short, time Flys, enjoy what you like to do, I wish you guys the best,, keep up with your good work, I take my hat off to your guys for all the hard work, it really takes a lot for a build like this, Enjoy every minute, Atila
It really is sad that someone told you it couldn’t be done, but what a fucking motivation. I’m sure some people told those shops that things they wanted to do couldn’t be done and now they are making money doing it. For you younger people out there, DON’T EVER let someone tell you what you can or can’t do in life.
George and Stav you guys are such a great inspiration! Your passion, constant learning and developing now pays off. Can you realise that you are THE FIRST in the world who dare to swap motor from the RS3 and custom fit an R30 VR6? That feeling must be priceless 👏 Many times I said this but I am so proud to be your subscriber👍 Congratulations to both of you!
I have a bone stock '03 GTI VR6 (24v) which is now 20 years old, with only 124,000 miles. Original owner, garaged, babied and maintained, 6-speed manual, leather interior... my gem! More reliable than my family's Toyotas and Hondas over the years! I watch this video and smile thinking what a potential beast my humble 201HP engine could be if I was young and crazy...
At some point I was happy with a mk3 3.0 vrt in my life but this is next level stuff and garage built is icing on the cake. Anyone can just write a check and have shop done it. Congrats fellas!
I definitely look up to you guys. I don't have any help or support on my b5 1.8t. I've basically built the car on my own with a little help from a friend here and there. But I can tell you that you guys have motivated me to keep pushing my build to where it is now and I didnt expect to push it as hard as I have. So thanks for all the content, keep it coming! I'm ready to see this beast destroy everything on the street.
You motivated me to build my mqb, that I documented on my channel, in my driveway under some poles with towels hanging over so the sun didn’t kill me. I was told so much it would blow on the first start up and now this sucker is going on 12000 miles without a hiccup 😂
George with the classic Dunning-Kruger effect. You guys are not a bunch of idiots. You are legends and have inspired me to move over to this platform. Shout out from the east coast. I hope to hear this car in person some day.
Gotta say despite being utterly sickened, revolted and down-right offended by the engine swap ... watching you guys work hard, learn and get it done bit by bit has been the most touching youtube series I watch. I really hope your rods stay straight, your valves unbent and your boost unleaked. So happy to see the results.
Dont understand why’d you be offended when vr6s come from vw/audi group. And plus one of the best motors out there. This is a one of a kind unique build. Doubt we’ll see more of these, one to be appreciated and looked at😊
You guys did an awesome job on this build. I knew you were talented but I have to admit at first I thought this wouldn't get finished. The amount of work, determination and fabrication that went into this is crazy. The engine bay looks perfect and the car sounds amazing. Great job 👍
This was quite the undertaking. We are just two malakas with full time jobs that work opposite shifts and had a lot to figure out but it’s only hard if you take the whole project and don’t break it down into sections and figure out one issue after another. It’s been a lot of fun learning to wire and syvecs ecu -stav
The intriguing piece of this entire project is that it's YOUR BUILD... Facts. You proved a lot of people wrong, yet proved a lot of people RIGHT. Plz dont stop. Thanks for setting a great example, my dudes. Cheers!
So stoked to see this! Looks and sounds amazing! I was so pumped to see this thing at the Big SoCal Euro meet last October--just the sheer size of the intake is ridiculous! Happy for you guys, looking forward to seeing more content about the R30/VRS3, and it was awesome meeting and getting to talk to you, George and Stav! Two of the most genuinely good dudes in the Euro scene. Wish you guys the best, and hope to see you at the Big SoCal Euro meet in a few months! 🤘🏼
I couldn't concentrate on anything but that stuffed nitrous bottle rolling around behind you. Get a proper mount for that thing. LOL !!! Jokes aside that beast sounds wicked (DTF).
George and Stav 👍 well done guys 👌. The engine sounds great. Can't wait to see silver piggy burn up the road and track Gents 👍. You both did one hell of a job. Getting to where you are now my friends. Jasos from Melbourne Australia 👍
Best part of the video🙌🏼is the motivation at the end.....much respect to you guys on this awesome build.... definitely gained a new subscriber and follower of your craft, love it🙏 wishing you nothing but the best in whatever you guys do
I'm in the same boat with you malakas, people telling you how to do stuff and how it should be. Fuck that and do it just the way you want. So much respect for doing what you do. Can't wait for new videos.
Rs3 it's my dream car, but this built is insanely gorgeous makes it perfect! Hope once you guys finish developing everything we get the chance to order from you guys 👌👌💪
I am so proud to call you guys friends and brothers. The work you are doing is nothing short of jaw dropping. That extraneous cylinder sure do be sounding throaty. 👍
Love it love it love it!!! You guys are Golden, keep doing what you're doing. It was a pleasure seeing this car in person. Can't wait to see/hear it now.
First of all, Congrats! I will admit, I was one of the people who was slightly upset at first. If I'm being honest, it was partially because you were 80% of the reason I even bought the rs3 to begin with lol so I felt betrayed for some reason... and the other part was now that I have spent 50k on the car I felt the need to justify it.. but I've come full circle and am happy to support you guys. You're breaking the mold, expanding the knowledge for everyone, and just all-around good people.
Hi George, hi Stav, just a few words from France to congratulate for all the great job you did so far and to thank you for all the information sharing about your incredible journey that I'm following since the beginning with a lot of interest. I'm a big fan of VW and Audi, especially G60, VR6 and Audi's 5 cylinder, but the swap and all the related building and adaptations you guys decided to perform is just amazing and your challenge is a source of motivation to overcome difficulties for all enthusiasts that have the will and the capabilities to engage themselves in the same kind of adventure. I wish you all the best for the future and once again congratulate you for your passionate, methodical and professional approach (whatever the stupid haters can think or say about your project), you're doing a great job, you're doing it the right way and with the right spirit !!! Good luck to you for the coming steps, stay the same and just carry on as you did so far 😉👍
I was so disappointed when u pulled the 2.5 out as didn't feel like it was in long when running big power but I must admit I'm loving the new engine can't wait to see where it goes 👌👍
Everyone hates the AWD GLI, "Just buy an A3". Like no dude, I like to build things and I'm going to build what I want not just buy it. Not to mention you learn so many new skills doing this kind of stuff. That's the real enthusiast level stuff.
Greetings from the team from the PROJECT CARS TUNING You Tub channel, we are also preparing the Vr6 3.6 Turbo in the Audi TT RS and a big greeting from the BALKANS
Congratulations on this wookie power RS3. Sounds amazing and everything looks super clean and nicely done. That’s cool that you guys took control of your build and didn’t let the ney sayers discourage your dreams. I’m also starting to do all my own work on my own VW’s . I used always paid for work done to my car. But now it’s so empowering been able to do it myself. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations guys!!!!!!!! Car sounds absolutely wicked!!! Through all the negative shit you guys have succeeded😁 can't wait to see what's next looking forward to seeing the first run and we gonna be holding you to the 8 sec off the trailer lol
Well done guys this car sounds incredible and especially on idle love the sound of the cams can’t wait to see further progress just an amazing job and good on you and your brother for pushing on ,you guys should be proud of your innovation and not giving up!!!
Keep it up! Good work. Maybe one day I'd be able to follow your footsteps and rebuild my A3. I have much more restrictions in what is allowed here in germany but the goal is to learn how to do it by myself. Thank you for motivating us!
Amazing achievement to you both! Only recently started "subscribing" to you tubers and you were the first! Love that you are throwing it out there proving things can be done with all the persons failing you before you finished! Love the noise this thing is making and tells me i should start looking back into increasing the power back in my T/C R32 Golf.........Keep the good work and producing these videos!
Nice work George and Stav, always great proving your haters wrong and I know the feeling building and doing your own mods and there's always jealous people out there but it's best to use it as more motivation. Keen to see where u take the beast and dialing in all the fun race features
