Fumpa Pump Review - MiniFumpa 

Just tested my Fumpa (standard, USB-C version, with a hose-and-head) inflation performance vs the miniFumpa (also USB-C, with a hose-and-head). Both used to inflate a 700 x 30 tyre (with an inner tube) from 0 to 50psi. - Fumpa: 20 seconds (exactly). Battery life went from 92% to 80%. - miniFumpa: ca. 40 seconds. * * It took the miniFumpa a tad longer (ca. 45 seconds) to inflate to ca. 57psi. Because there is no gauge on the MiniFumpa, it's tricky to measure the exact pressure before the pump without disconnecting the pump first. Also, because there is no dedicated on-off toggle on the miniFumpa (unlike the standard Fumpa), it's a bit trickier to time the inflation precisely. But from the test it appears that the Fumpa's own estimate of twice slower inflation speed for the miniFumpa compared to standard Fumpa's, holds true. The Fumpas (both) are terribly impressive little powerhouses. The standard one is more powerful than any other pump I've had to date, including the extremely slow and slightly noisier and considerably heavier and larger than the Fumpa - Xiaomi Mijia **, the Birzman Tiny Tanker floor pump ***, the ToPeak Turbo Morph G, Lezyne Micro Floor Drive and a various mini pumps. I'd like to conclude my review by adding that not only is the Fumpa the most powerful of all of the pumps I've used to date (both electric and mechanical), it's to my knowledge the most powerful portable inflator on the market today. The miniFumpa inflates ca. as fast as a quality full-size floor pump. The only electric mini pump I am aware of that comes somewhat close - is the Fanttik X8 Apex (appears to be slightly slower, but larger and heavier - and with a couple of added features - than the Fumpa) and the Fanttik X8 Journey (appears slightly slower, though, again - larger and heavier - than the miniFumpa). ** it would take the Mijia ca. 5 minutes to pump a 700 x 30 tyre (albeit tubeless) to what its built-in manometer would indicate as "40psi" that would feel like half as hard as the 50psi indicated by the Fumpa manometer (built-in or dedicated). *** The Birzman roughly compares to the miniFumpa in inflation speed.

I like tech gadgets and have one of these. It has saved me from 2 flats so far. One of those occasions the weather was bad so I was relieved when it reinflated my inner tube really quickly.

Now if it had a digital pressure readout on the side facing you as it pumped then I would seriously consider one. Good video 👍

I have one of these, great as a replacement for CO2 for gravel biking and even handier in the workshop as a quick and effortless way to inflate a couple of tyres before riding or after a fix 🙂

Does it work to seal de beads on a Tubeless Tire?

Interesting but still a bit heavy for my liking. You can get feather light micro pumps these days that do the job well.

Looks like a cool little gizmo. Quite pricey at $150.

But did you ever get it up to 80/90psi?

I really like this idea. Typical MTB mini pumps are ridiculous and CO2 cartridges aren't good for sealant. Yea the price is insane, but I'll probably grab one for the convenience anyway.

Looking at the comments I think the jury is still out. Looks a nice gadget though maybe a tad too big for back pockets.

£100+ buys a lot of CO2 cartridges! They are small and light and so is the inflator. Work very well and takes seconds.

Hmmmmmm Never thought this existed. Mini pump thin and light, though. Hmmmmmm. Interesting but maybe not a minipump. Yes don’t know what to make of this. It’ll discharge without remembering charge every month. Hmmmmm. I think it’s redundant for summer riding when mini pump favoured

It's an interesting product but not for me ad I prefer a mini hand pump and my CO2 pump as i hardly get flat tyres running tubeless off-road as and I keep quality tyres on the road bike. If you get flats a lot this would be worth buying as your not dumping CO2 cylinders.
