you did an amazing job on this tutorial. I've tried to follow tutorials from other youtubers but this was the first time i was able to follow along and feel like i learned something along the way. I've made so many of these for family and friends lol. So thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us.
I started doing this and it was turning out really big, I realized you were using a larger size water bottle so I started over and did it with 8 stiches on the circle at the beginning and it worked out great for a regular sized water bottle :) also did not make it as long so again it fits a typical water bottle. Was my first time crocheting and it was quick, thanks :)
Thank you PhatEyeCandy! I'm glad that the tutorial was able to help you :) If you want a tutorial on something else just let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I'd love to make another pattern for you! I am currently in the middle of moving but will make one as soon as I settle down in my new place. I'll have it posted hopefully in the next month.
Thanks for the tutorial! I think I might make a longer strap and sew about a half inch to three-quarters of an inch of the ends to the inside of the holder. (That might require an increase in the top rows, I guess. It depends on the shape of the bottle.) Thanks again!
Hi Tana! I'm so glad you enjoyed my tutorial. I have been out of the picture lately and am hoping to start creating more soon. Let me know if you need any help with increasing the strap length.
I watched your video and now I have a question for you,1 did you put the strap on the outside of the bottle holder?? And would like to know what if you are making it for some one that's in an wheelchair is the strap the same or should we make it wider???
Hi Nurul, I would do another round on the bottom... do one half double crochet in the next two stitches then two in the next stitch, repeat this around. When finished with that round continue with the pattern. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
my bottom looks much tighter than yours. and then once I got farther up, it was much wider around than yours..like the size of a mayonnaise jar! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm crocheting with an "F" hook, and I tend to crochet pretty tight.
I crochet mine with an I hook, so that is probably why your bottom is tighter than mine. I'm not sure why the top would be bigger. I know that my top will look a little bigger and when I'm finished it looks the right size.
I do have the pattern. At one point you could down load it from my blog, but I'm not sure if the link still works. My blog is craftigami.com you can look for it under patterns. If the link is broke leave a message and I will try to get it emailed to you.
