Little Isla is so cute, an outdoor lover like her dad it seems! We've done a number of these projects with our 2 year old as well. So fun to see the gears turning in the little one's head!

So that's what everyone wants to do with all their paper towels and toilet rolls! Great ideas. Going to set uo two raised beds for my two kids over at the allotment. Like the idea of painting a sign too.

We have been cutting up the sponge from an old changing matt to use in containers to keep them wet for longer. We have been digging and collecting worms. Lots of watering pots and plants. Collecting flowers for in the house and made a wreath from a hula hoop. I've been siving topsoil for sowing carrots in pots. And will sow sunflowers (teddy bears) and cosmos for pots in the front garden. Its gonna look amazing!!

Yes, their own patch! The kiddos need to experiment and therefore to learn. What's good for the plants? What's bad? And to just play in the mud...

Thank you! We are a homeschool family and we're always looking for ways to involve, motivate, and inspire our children. I agree, sometimes it's good to give up some control of the gardening and let the kids have a crack at it. It teaches us all to be patient!

I absolutely love these videos, though I do have one thing to add just regarding the avocado seed sprouting. I've been regularly sprouting avocado seeds for several years now, and although occasionally they can sprout in 2 weeks, the majority of the ones I've sprouted have taken 1 or 2 months, and some have taken as long as 6-8 months. So if you're seed hasn't sprouted after the 2 weeks are up but it still looks plump and is not shriveled or moldy, just keep waiting! :)

It's just Isla who is mine - I borrowed a few video clips of the kids of others in the team! Isla is showing an interest in growing, which is great. Though patience is something we have to work at!

I love your videos. Cute and inspiring and full with great ideas. It's your fault my fiancée and I have started developing a passion for gardening here at the south coast of Spain. We are newbies and we have no garden, so we are using whatever space we have available (balcony, terrace roof). It's also very nice someone thinking about kids. They are the future and it's quite commendable to keep them busy while engaging them in doing something useful, healthy, productive and fun. As a last remar, did you know Isla is spanish for island?. Cute name.

something very strange is going on! All Morrisons supermarkets have closed there gardening sections, now why would they do that? It's ok to mingal and buy food but not seeds ect ...maybe 'they' (you know who) dont want us to be self sufficient and grow our own?

Try a local farmers' co-op or farm & tractor supply for garden items; farming is an essential business (I'd argue that making my yard beautiful is essential, too, but not all states agree). Also, some big box stores have run out of seeds -- good if everyone plans to plant them, terrible if folks are hoarding them.

Hi. Wonderful video but whole nuts are not a great idea for this type of feeder at this time of the year because baby birds can choke on them.
