This is a chattier vlog than I expected - hope yous don't mind our HORRIFIC banter 😂. Next time I visit Arran, I'd love to take the car and show yous around the island more! Next time :)
Erins tht s a kikass video!!! i loved it!!! ur vids r so magical n mystical!! did yall drink frm tht water fountain?! did yall hve to chop yalls own firewood?! if so did u get blisters?! cn u show us?!
Loving these travel vlogs! You are Steph are so funny together- I tried to watch this with my earbuds in on the bus and I was fucking laughing out loud and people were staring.
Had to stop eating my dinner cause I was laughing too much along with you's in this video! :) Erin (and Steph!), thanks so much - I really needed a good laugh after a really hard few months!
I am really enjoying your videos , I love that you don't tone down your accent at all ! My fiance is from Fife and when I first met his family ,I couldn't hardly understand anything they were talking about and felt really awkward aboot it . So listening to your videos is helping me tremendously . plus you and your friends are hilarious!! P.S. yes I'm from the West coast U.S. Scottish ancestry tho . Fell in love with Scotland first time I saw it 20 years ago 😘 😘😄
Yesssss you should definitely go to Backwaterfoot some day (it’s in Arran!) I spend like half the year there and it’s AMAZING!!! I’ve been waiting for you to go there!!!! Yessss
Blackwaterfoot is the best part of the island. Everytime I go I never want to leave. We used to have a holiday home in the neighbouring village Shiskine. Really miss that house!
Loch Lomond is on my must visit list. Since getting into Highland games competition here in the states, i have learned my Scottish ancestors are from that area. Very cool videos
I go to Scotland every year with my best friend and her family, they own a wee cottage in Arran it’s lovely and private , you’ve even got the beach right on your doorstep , it doesn’t have any WiFi or phone signal though 😂, is 4 miles from whiting bay if you were wondering
This looks so much fun I’m so jealous but it’s looking good so far I’m halfway through the log and I love it already you girls look like you’re having a great time love your videos
Erin! I've been having such a rough time the past few months and watching your vlogs has brightened me up so much. You always make me want to get out and go on an adventure. You're so witty and upbeat. I live in Canada but a family friend of mine is from Glasgow (some random, useless proximity info lol). Please keep making vlogs and videos. All the best for the new year to you!
Steph is the best :D It's good to see another take on Arran. I tend to always do the same (Hike the Goatfell or a beach walk close to King's cave).. Keep up the nice travel videos!
The view is amazing and makes good video material. ;) It gets kinda steep in the end. I would not recommend it, when the peak is covered in snow or right after (unless you want a challenge). Usually I start directly from the ferry and walk the same way back, but I think you can also walk down to Sannox or Corrie. ....I might try that this weekend now.
Hey Erin! I haven't seen your videos in a long time, sort of on a binge watch today.. I agree with what you said, everybody just chats and that's such a nice thing. This vlog was fun and Arran is beautiful
Love this video...you two are really entertaining together. You ought to do more travelogues with Steph. God, how I would love to visit Scotland, bring my daughters and just soak up the history.
You are so lucky to be able to travel around! I love watching all of your videos and vlogs! My mum went to Brodick castle and she said it was amazing. Hope you have a amazing new year!
Enjoyed the video as always, The Spa looks awesome and the secrecy on the Island is gouges. In Los Angeles you can't see the stars to well either. Its due to the light pollution, too many lights. Most big cities are that way. The Chocolate from the begging of the video; well we have that brand in Los Angeles, I hear its good. It comes in all kinds of flavors like coconut and there is ever hot pepper ones. Very hot and spicy. Thanks for vloging the trip. :D
Erin's "mountain biking" sounds like "mounting bacon"! Boy, could that be interpreted in many interesting ways .. possibly leading to an international incident. That "wee coffee machine" must be a Scottish Keurig.
Did you go to the wee bakery in Brodick ? It’s the best! I think it’s called Woolies of Arran or something like that it’s actually got the best pies you could imagine !
I think this place warrants a return visit :) Fantastic! And no, to answer a question you posed below, I don't mind the "horrific" banter. lol Some of the talking admittedly does go over my head abit but that's ok, doesn't ruin anything :) Arran sounds familiar. Could be that another vlogger..or former vlogger..visited there.
Oh yeah that's right!! Gosh, those two certainly left a major void in the vlogging world. It took ages getting used to not seeing them here. Their videos were the first ones I watched every day, and they never ever disappointed. I still regard them as friends.
Erin Hi Erin. You are in my All Time Top 100 Scottish People. Your below Billy Connolly of course. You're mates are so quiet. Here's Frank Zappa... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--wTNTlWk3B8.html
I love this video. Thanks for letting us hang out with you. Glad you don't take this luxury holiday stuff too seriously. That's what I love about the Scots. (Is it okay to call you a Scot? I'm American.)
Well i guess the ladies had a great time on the island, massages and good food and all that, dont worry about me sitting here grindin me teeth because i'm not there pfft lol
Actually I didn’t joy it it was really really good you guys look like you had a great time stuff looks like she had a great time and I just really love your videos and I love your personality and I just think you’re really cool and I think all of your friends are pretty cool as well
The one thing you never do is tell us foreigners how much a night the places you stay are.For us potential visitors , is it affordable and do you need reservations? Oh yea , subtitles would have helped in this post ! :D
I only put subtitles when there's background noise :p most people don't have trouble understanding. There's varying prices and I linked the website in the description for those that were curious about that :)
Our prices vary depending on availability Robert. You can check out rates online or give us a call direct. Reservations would be required prior to arrival as we are busy all year. Hope to see you soon!
Our rates vary depending on availability Carrie - sometimes we do last minute deals however you normally get the best rates when you book in advance. The island is also fairly cheap - mainland prices for food etc and cheap ferry tickets thanks to RET scheme by CALMAC and ScotGov
Has you gone to the southern tip of the island, you would have seen Cleat's Shore, a legal nude beach. In the nearby town of Lagg, is Lagg Inn, a nudist hotel. Remember that whenever you get the idea for a vlog on naturism in Scotland.
Whoo! My knowledge has gone up to inbed idiot. So glad I left behind the brain the size of a pea category. lol Also was half waiting for you to turn round and say "Oh no. My stalker is back. At a different loch". Now that would have been fun and a bit creepy to hear.
Aran sweaters originate from The Aran Islands which are a group of islands located on the west coast of Ireland. Most people confuse the two. We are famous for mountains and scenery as well as whisky, beer, cosmetics, candles and most of all... FOOD!! Plus we are known as 'Scotland in Minature' as our landscape is so diverse featuring its own highlands and lowlands - to top it all off we are also known as Scotland's most accessible island as there are regular sailings and we're only 55 minutes away on the ferry!
Awesome video Erin! We wanted you to experience a 'typical trip' to auchrannie resort and the beautiful Isle of Arran to let you see just a little bit of what we offer! as we can see you both had a great time = SUCCESS! Thank you for coming over to see us and we hope to see you again in the future! Remember we're only 55 minutes away on the ferry! For all those who want to find out more about auchrannie watch our NEW promo video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3FjvwvTb8Kw.html or go to www.auchrannie.co.uk to explore our resort and book online!
