For the fourth of July, we celebrated with lots of family pool time, the kids first fireworks, and more hotdogs than we could count!
Meet our family. We are Dustin and Burton, gay dads, and proud parents of our twins, Stone and Holland Buffaloe. We created our family vlog, "Raising Buffaloes," as a resource for all. We are an All American Family, who happen to be gay parents through surrogacy. On our channel, you will see videos of our family adventures and grasp what it's like to raise kids in the south as a gay couple. Our dad vlog captures our parenting and fatherhood journey, but you'll find much more. We open up about our coming out journey, relationship and marriage tips, and how to live life with a little more laughter. We use our voice to shed light and awareness to the LGBTQ+ community, gay rights equality, and opening eyes to others. Family has many definitions, and this is ours. We hope you subscribe and follow along our journey of raising our little Buffaloes.

Being in the pool with my Dad was honestly one of the best experiences I had growing up, so seeing this can be an option for my future family makes me really excited and looking fwd to having this become a reality one day....

Dustin and Burton: I envy you so much. I met my husband in 1986 and I, like Burton, wanted children badly ... it was a different time and was impossible with our young careers (and the prejudice then). I begrudgingly accepted and enjoyed the beauty of our wonderful friends’ and families’ kids. I’m loving all four of you ... I love your wholesomeness, challenges and love as a unit. Good on you for teaching them fireworks safety. Next year explain to them that every dog within hearing range is shaking and hiding in the basement and for the next few weeks every loud noise will scare them again. And they will hide and sometimes even cry. I know your kids are human and my dog is only a dog, but I love him as much as you love your kids. Except you will probably grow old watching your kids blossom in to being their authentic selves with such great dads. My beloved dog will surely die within the next four or five years.
