Such a sweet picture! I followed this one yesterday and then again today on very small (4 1/2 x 6) paper. I will mount them on cardstock and make greeting cards for my friends. This will make them smile......especially now that everyone could use a little bright spot in their lives! Thanks for such lovely, doable tutorials!

Tried this painting for the second time today and I love it. First time around I was happy with it,, but I felt like I wanted to try again and second time I did a green background at the bottom as well as the blue sky at the top. Used a twig just like you have taught me to do some background green leaves/grasses coming up. So pleased with how it has turned out. You have taught me so much and I think I might be addicted to watching you paint.

Karen, these tutorials are amazing. They are informative and do not detract from the beauty of your work. Can you please tell me where the link to show me more is. I’m always too busy watching and listening and I miss it. If you were a beginner setting up a palette what colours would you recommend? Hi Karen, I love your style and have tried a couple of your tutorials. One problem I have is the masking tape lifting whilst I'm painting. Which tape do you use to secure your paper to the board please, thank you again 😁

I think using gouache or bleed proof white is no less “true” to watercolor than masking fluid. Masking fluid feels more like a cop out than what you did here. I loved how you used the stencil brush to create your dandelions.

Hi Karen...what a lovely video demonstration.what framing tape do you use ? When I stretch paper the gummed tape always sticks to the paper and rips when I try to remove it.thanks in advance .clare

Hi Clare, thank you, so glad you like the tutorial. When you stretch paper, you don't remove the gummed tape afterwards. If you want to remove it you need to cut off tape. I use framing tape, this does not stretch the paper, it is similar to masking tape. Hope this was helpful :)
