Well, Drew is an American so he is always mildly surprised that people don't use English names for their countries in their native languages. Btw in Czech we don't have the "name confusion" problem, since the country of Georgia is called "Gruzie" and the state of Georgia "Georgie" (pronounced similarly as in English).

Day 6 of searching for Drew's hotel room in Vienna: every time I try to enter a hotel now, either a security guard kicks me out or the concierge instantly calls the police. Just now, I had to jump out of a window on the first floor just to avoid being captured in one place. Can't return to my home since I know it's being watched. Hiding in an internet café and hope I have more luck getting Drew's autograf tomorrow ...

USA had only 3 million people when they gained independance. It would probably be like Canada today if they didn't gain independance before modern times, as other Europeans wouldn't have immigrated to USA en masse if USA wasn't "free" and didn't have that image of stability and opportunities. So, no, they wouldn't. That's a misconception, the US mainly built its power by itself (with good foundations though), and honestly they benefited from being culturally close to the UK, as the USA industrialized very fast for that very reason. I think the perfect timeline for USA, is ours.

@@jjj123mthe British parliament not king George. In the initial stages, king George was actually sympathetic to the problems of the colonists. But the english parliament got in the way, most of the things that the Americans rebelled against were decisions of the parliament. King George only turned against the Americans once Massachusetts was in a state of open rebellion. The parliament had greater authority that the crown since 1648.

American industry is the most powerful in the world so I don’t think we needed to stay with the UK. Matter of fact, it probably would have hurt us since the British would have just forced us to export all of our products and intellectual properties to the UK for free and exploit us.

3:20 Sorry for my fellow australians, but that cavalry charge, altough overall impressive and quite important within the context of the anzac, was neither among the greatest worldwide nor among the last ones in history. Just to mention an example, the charge of the Savoia Cavalleria at Izbushensky on the eastern front in WWII was both more effective (weirdly enough given an even higher disparity in forces and the better methods to contrast cavalry that existed in WWII) and more recent in history and I'm pretty sure there are many other examples out there...

@@notgermanofficial wow you've counted that's quite impressive and I honestly didn't think I had commented that many times but basically I used to go by how many times I commented which was every vid but once he didn't post for two days and the Malta guys count went up two from the last vid ( including Drew's other channels) and so from then I've been doing it based of days but then I lost count and now I do it based of when I started Malta guy was 18 days ahead so I just take his number and minus it by 18 and beside bigger numbers look cooler lol

About the Yugoslav-Bulgarian union: Both countries wanted to unite, but under different circumstances. Tito wanted Bulgaria to be a people’s republic inside of Yugoslavia. Also, he wanted Pirin Macedonia to go to the P.R. of Macedonia. Dimitrov (leader of Bulgaria) wanted Yugoslavia to become a federation of two members - Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. In it Bulgaria would own a bit of Eastern Serbia and the whole of P.R. Macedonia. In the end they couldn’t agree and also the Tito-Stalin Split didn’t allow them to unite. Later in time they requested to be annexed by the USSR, but git rejected.
