Classic old vintage toys from the 1960's and 1970's. This video includes, "The Inventors, Checkers, Klackers, Gnip Gnop, skittle pool, and other reminders of toys from the past.
Thanks for the beautiful memories of many of the things that helped make my childhood so good. The original G.I. Joe, and all of the cool accessories they had. Get Away Chase Game, Electro Shot Shooting Gallery. Electric Trains, slot cars, Hot Wheels with super chargers. The classic board games, and does anyone know how to actually play Chinese checkers with marbles? Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, Tetherball, and so many more wonderful toys and games! How exciting it was to get my first bike, A Stingray with high handlebars and banana seat! Appreciate the reminder of that time and the joy and adventure that was childhood.
As a 67 year old with lots of memories, I just had to watch this video. Does anyone remember "Hands Up Harry"? It was like the arcade game where you had to shoot at targets on a Western "bad guy" figure and things would happen, like his hat would fly off. The game itself and the commercial for it were hilarious! We always had checkers, Chinese checkers and Monopoly in the house. They would help us kids get through a rainy day together. And Mom was smarter than we could imagine. She said NO to our requests to buy and play with clackers.
So many memories there. Thanks. Those Klik-Klackers by the way were more dangerous then you could imagine. Aside from being painfully hit by them, some of the knock off brands chipped or shattered and could cause eye injury. Oh well, we didn't wear seatbelts to faithfully back then either. Had a lot of the games you showed not to mention GI Joe, Captain Action, Johnny West, Major Matt Mason and the Zeroids. Would love to have them back again.
You always have an interesting episode. And your presentation is humorous but professional. I could never skip over anything you post. Keep up the good work!
Im a official toys r us kid i will never grow up so you are here in Chicago i would love to meet you i would talk your ear off great videos you make me feel like a kid again thank you
There was a clear plastic ball with numbered cones on the inside. There was also a marble inside you had to pass from cone to cone. Popular in the 70's. Do you remember?
@@AlleyPicked My mom and I played it all the time. She kept it in the attic in dresser and I found it after she passed away when we wee getting ready to sell the house.
You left out Hot wheels! Your social standing was measured not only how many you had but also which ones. Those plastic race tracks were pretty cool but I preferred to build my own courses in the dirt. My mom had a tendency to beat my ass with the tracks until they disappeared heh heh. You got a like and a subscribe just for the memories.
Even as a 90s baby I still played some of these game, we even currently have a nice checkers set, life, a game called mancala (which would be awesome to see if you could make a custom board! And even though we dont have clacker man I couldnt help but remember how much it hurt! Hoping when my little one gets older we can teach him love for classic things.
I have a mancala set also. Funny you mention that because I have thought about making one for a video. It's very simple. Maybe I could fancy it up a bit. I'll give it more thought. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@AlleyPicked Its no problem! I used to live in Hawaii as a kid and that game, along with pog caps, was very popular. Even on field trips sometimes we would visit places where the ancient Hawaiians lived and they would have boards carved into the lava rocks. Sorry I can get carried away with those kinda things.
That "political" thing...Could make the biggest "remark" right about...ohhhhhhh, I dunno...NOW. That's beside the point, however. Too busy having Ping Pong--I mean "Gnip Gnop" flashbacks.
