Thanks for your comment! These are all from a friend whose father had gathered a collection of 200+ cameras, mostly simple cameras like this or 6x6 folding cameras. Really crazy collection! Also a lot of period accessories like screw-on self timers or rangefinders or what-not-else ... I was able to get various of these cameras and there will be a few more videos in the future featuring them!
I've just tried a Coronet 12-20. Possibly the cheapest camera made at the time, terrible optics and results, but great fun to use. I vote for the Bilora for the next video.
The red one. Of course. Although I mostly shoot a hasselblad, I enjoy my Kodak Hawkeye Brownie. The trick to get the most from a box camera is to decide what kind of photography would match the camera and do that. We are spoiled by having gear that can adapt to any situation but what we need to do is find a situation that matches a box camera. I find older architecture seems best, but a group portrait may be ok as well. Good luck. Charlie in Virginia
#3 Daci! Thanks for your comment and tips. I didn't even think yet about which topic would work best so your input is much appreciated and your suggestions make a lot of sense to me as both focusing and shutter speed are severely limited on all these cameras ...

great concept! i vote for the ensign ful-vue. what type of film are you planning to shoot? it would be cool if you chose a film stock that was used back when these cameras were popular. maybe ilford since it's british. just a thought.
Hey! You're the first one sadly to vote for the Ensign! Maybe you invite all your friends to give her a better chance to win ;) Film stock: Honestly I was planning to use a roll of Agfa APX 100 just because I have so many of them in the fridge ... I figure that it's not that far away from "classic" film as the APX 100 is just a traditional black&white film!
