Fun Visit to Waynesville, NC | Gateway to the Smokies | Asheville NC day trip

Join Kurt and Sara as we go on a day trip from Asheville, NC to the cute mountain town of Waynesville, NC! Waynesville sits between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains, and is an easy drive from Asheville, NC, Hendersonville, NC, Greenville, SC, Brevard, NC, and Black Mountain, NC. It is right at the base of Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg, TN. Have fun with us as we go to a really unique coffee shop on the river, Panacea, explore the cute town, have lunch at Boojum Brewery Taproom, and finally visit a beautiful overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway just a few minutes down the road that features beautiful views of the mountains. Get a great idea of what it would look like if you take a vacation or visit with your RV in Waynesville, NC! Stay Positive!!

We love that coffee shop and sitting by the River. We haven’t been since Covid but there used to be a real friendly black cat that sat with us there. Pearsons Falls, tubing the Green River and Shoji Spa would be fun to watch you all visit! We’re happy to see you posting so many new things. We enjoy your gentle and kind views on happiness and nature and showing our home area. I found myself talking to a colleague in Phoenix today as she is also a hiker and was telling me about mountains where she lives. I found myself quoting “Kurt and Sara” as she asked what it’s like to hike in NC. I just said “oh we like to lay on our tummies in nature’. She paused for a moment but then just continued to talk as if maybe there was something unusual about WNC that she didn’t understand and that was ok with her haha.

Hahaha, It's so funny that you used that quote, it's one of our favorites! We are so happy that you like our videos and enjoy the positive vibe we are trying to put out. It's nice to know that other people feel the same way we do. Shoji Spa looks so cool, hopefully we get a chance to visit and just relax... Hey there! Enjoyed the preview of Waynesville, we're headed there tomorrow. Will differently go by the coffee shop and order something decaf and enjoy the water view. If we like it we may check out some RV parks and relocate for awhile. Good job on the video, nice music selection. Take care!

Great vid guys! Born and raised in NJ and spent most of my life in the Princeton/Lambertville area, love the small town vibe. Recently retired and hoping to call Waynesville home sometime soon. Thanks for sharing your visit, your transplanted NJ smiles say it all!!!

Just FYI. The Smokey Mtns are actually IN the Blue Ridge Mtns not next to them. They are a sub set within the larger Blue Ridge.

If you go back to Waynesville, you have to go to the Mast General Store. If you have a dog, they allow them to come into the store.😊

Visiting Waynesville end of next month for my birthday. Ironically, I lived in Asheville 30 years ago, but never got over that way..Love the mountains..live outside of Charlotte, so not too far away. Thank y’all for sharing this adventure.
