Love making journals I started making them after my wife passed away 3 years ago. I use them daily and write my thoughts and I make a new one monthly. People nowadays are wanting everything for nothing. I use chalk paint on book pages. It's very relaxing and your able to use your imagination (by the way some people forget to use). After writing it down it makes you feel better about yourself. I dedicate one journal to my wife and wrote letter to her about everything I did that day. What a fantastic way to jot down feelings for that day. Thanks for sharing and God Bless 😊😊😊

Fold the end of your tape just a bit and you'll have a tab you can find, I enjoy your company when I am crafting, as I like to craft along with you, and that is a bonus for me. I don't need freebies to enjoy your channel. Thank you and just do what you do.

This has been a reminder I need to coffee dye some book pages. A couple of years ago when I first started making journals, I didn’t seem to have any scraps. Well it didn’t long to build up that supply. I’m constantly finding a bag from a previous project. TFS and the inspiration.

This was fun! I like to use a plastic gift card and thinly smear the gesso on a page. Can still see the text through the paint. Will definitely use this idea in a journal! Have a Blessed day!

I agree about the oxides. LOVE THEM!!! However, get the distress ink in Scorched Timber. You'll love it, better than Black Soot. I normally don't use the regular distress inks, but I have a few mini cubes. Love me some Tim Holtz products. Congrats on reaching 30K❤❤❤🎉

Hi Melina. I decorated some bookpages with images torn from paper napkins. They turned out really well and I can still see the writing. I glued with pva glue over the top which dries clear. Thanks for sharing. Val 🐨 💖

This was an absolutely fantastic video Melina 💕💕💕 So many ideas to try. Thank you for sharing them. BTW instead of using masking tape you could also use the edge strips of paper from larger books or cut strips from tea/coffee dyed copier paper.💕💕💕

Lovely ways to liven up book pages!I would never have thought of gesso as a writing spot, I just thought it strengthened/protected paper! I hope you can ignore all the negative commenters- no one deserves something for nothing from you and if you do gift something they should be grateful. I’m grateful for your videos! Regarding below comment re free downloads Please note that some of us whom love crafting cannot afford all the etsy kits or fancy tools. Perhaps a pensioner on a fixed budget or from a country like mine where exchange rates are beyond our means we greatly appreciate free supplies.......If you really don't mean them to be free then don't advertise as such...

I’m always a bit lost with single book pages, but love your ideas😊 Sometimes I sit and stamp writing on tea dyed papers..I could just use some of my old book pages😂

Thanks for the videos and for the freebees ❤. I use the plastic closures from bread or bagel packages to put on the ends of my tape rolls. That way I don't have to scrape to find the lost end. Hope it helps😊

Talkin bout storms.... We bad a bad storm just a couple of days ago here in Arkansas.. My son is a Sheriff's Deputy over in the next county, Got a message from him, that while on patrol.... a small TORNADO w/baseball hail, suddenly engulfed the Yukon He drives. He said it suddenly went Totally Black... heard the light bar explode, the windshield cracking, & felt himself sliding on ice! (the baseball size hail). He Is OK... shaken up, but ok. PTL! Said He was doin some Hard & fast Prayin! All the dangers He Already faces as a Police Officer.... He NEVER Thought gettin caught in a Tornado, was ONE of Them!

Would white paint have same effect as gesso? Never used gesso. Hope you have a blessed day ❤

I’m sure it would. The reason I use gesso is for the memory keeping components. paint may be harmful to photos or writing you put in. Gesso, as I understand it, has a preserving quality.

😂 oh my gosh I had to laugh through this whole story you told! If they're going to act like they haven't got a clue then they don't deserve to even have the freebies! Those of us that have their Scruples not that this person is scrupulous it's just that if I understand what's going on I would assume they would too! If she or he is offended better put your big boy or big girl panties on and get over it get over it! I'm not a hater I just think that this person should not have put you through this so you'd have to explain yourself is all 😊. Love you kiddo keep up the good work!
