This group of college friends have a fun tradition where at end of the wedding reception, they circle the newlyweds and sing this song at the top of their lungs. It was the highlight of the evening and I absolutely loved witnessing it! Apparently it’s been done numerous times in their friend group as each couple gets married 🥰
The song they’re singing is “You and I” by @ingridmichaelson and happens to be a major throwback to me and Eric’s early dating days (I’m talking our 2010 era) so the minute we heard it start playing we locked eyes across the room with the biggest smiles!
My favorite line of the song says “And we will put the lonesome on the shelf” 🤍
