The thing that is hitting the mate bottle is a solenoid and the spring board and round thing next to it with the marbles are contact mics. It is an accutronics reverb tank from an Intellijel Springray, the high gain pre-amps on the field kit mixer are able to boost the low output from a reverb tank to line levels.

There is a contact mic and speaker on the snare drum head making a feedback loop, which is fun because playing or touching the snare affects the feedback loop.

@@PerfectCircuit Oh thanks, going to give it a try as soon as I have a snare drum... I thought the rubber duck and the spring reverb box were somehow playing a part

@@thishereischannel The rubber duck is just for fun and doesn't have anything to do with the sound, The spring reverb I think is just used as an effect on the output of the feedback loop, but we made this patch a while ago and don't remember the exact routing.
