We installed the Nokian R5 and were able to drive with the Mini Cooper in the latest snowstorm with no issues. Great breaking and handling. Not perfect on deep snow but unless you have a very wide tire pattern like an off-road tire, all the winter tires will tend to flot on the deep snow. Winters tires are life saver but it also take responsible driver.

And better braking distance! I daily my rwd Z4 on Nokian R3 in Chicago snow without any issues

Still waiting for real snow here in eastern Pennsylvania. Had maybe an inch or so yesterday. I at least got to test out the different x modes in my new Outback Wilderness on some hilly farm roads. My Trek was good in snow. My assumption is the longer wheel base of the Outback will be better

Gotta be honest had Nokian tires on my 2016 Forester, absolute worst I would never purchase or advise purchasing again. Went on the tire rack after I got rid of them to put a review and thankfully saw several that were indicating the same thing on the highway horrible traction you don’t even feel connected to the road. Glad to see they’re working for you. Just not my brand.

Nokian tires are the standard for winter tires. I've tried a few brands and they're easily the best.

@@MikeYurbasovich on many other different feeds I think you would be told not true. The Bridgestone Blizzak are highly recommended winter tires. Although the nokian tires may have a slight reputation, I’m just going on my own experience I would never touch them again on any of my vehicles and quite honestly looking through other reviews on tire rack, there are several others that concur. But I’m glad that you have good success. For me, I wouldn’t put them on an RC car.

@@martinr8278 I tried continental and Michelin after seeing better reviews, but was very dissatisfied with both. Nokian were far superior, mostly because the ice grip is second to none.
