I grew up on muscle magazines and bro splits - chest day, back day, leg day. But over the years I’ve learned that training the way we move is better than training our parts alone. So here are 4 chest and back workouts to try that add fun, variety, and more carryover to life and other sports.

In my experience, this routine is more practical in my building or balcony gym. But then I am limited with the equipment like weights or barbels. The regular gym I go, I have to walk up to the rowing machine or TRX and then i have lost my bench & other set up to someone else already. LOL. You get my point. I also feel days that I engage cardio, if I lift as heavy, I will have no energy for the rest of the day unless if I nap or sleep for an hour. Or the whole session should be shorter. Your feedback is appreciated.

One of the best educationally exercise videos out there. I have been added up sled push and pulls, TRX, kettlebell into my regular 5 days weights and machines workout. It workout well so far. I also found Marcus's KB exercise video has a lot of valuable information. I am start to implementing some of his strategies. Thank you Marcus for sharing your expertise with us.

Love all the training splits and workouts! I have limited options in my outside gym. We use sandbags, pull-up & dip bars, super bands, TRX, tire, sledgehammer and a flipping tire. What do u think about work around for rowing machine & bike using a weighted sled & a sandbag pickup and carry…

Rope climb might be a risky idea due to fatigue. Despite being relative a low climb, a fall from even 2-3 meters can cause a severe injury.
