I couldn't. But if there is a will there is a way. I found ways and means to always have it, even if that crossed the line of my moral compass. I lead such a double life that I didn't care what I did to have it, I just had to get it no matter what. And once I got it, I didn't think twice about what I had to do to get it. I just moved on and lead the other life of "being perfect" like it never happened. At one point two different close relatives were using with me. One was my father. Unfortunately, I was able to get whatever I wanted with him so for a period of time I was able to get it free by him being the one to buy it. Another family member was in a relationship with someone who was in the direct line of "manufacturing and delivering" the substance. It was unbelievable of the amount of drugs this person had access to. In exchange to watching this person's children, I had access to TONS and TONS of free meth.

Idk .... addiction seems like a much stronger version of a craving. At the same time.... I couldn't actually be a vegan meaning food at least has that power over me.

It's starts out as a craving... then turns into addiction. Craving is a symptom of addiction

Weed is absolutely something you can be addicted to. Meranda had such a hard time even stopping that. Getting out of her routines. It took her longer to quit weed than it did the meth.

Yes, you can be addicted to weed, alcohol, sex, food etc. Most addicts replace one addiction with another. That is why we need to address the addiction and not the substance. I can stop smoking weed, but if I am just replacing that with food, I am not treating my addiction. I am still using a substance to cover or ignore the deeper issue I have inside.
