the feet under the body is to give you a good strong base. My school does 4 point stance. If your stance is comfortable to be in. its wrong. We get the feet under your body. Ass up. A bend in the elbows and head cocked in towards the ball. The more uncomfortable, the fast you want to get out. And also. the legs under let you bring you hips more and explode up and through the line, and allows you to fire off low.
Okay, they're standing up when they fire off. That's wrong. Don't arch your back up when you fire off the line. Think of yourself as a bullet, unless in Punt Return situation.
Great INSTRUCTIONAL video.... people are not to demo full speed in instructional videos they are focusing on technique....these guys below me are obviously professionals.
TheCrimsonFlame17 Yeah but i wasn't used straight away i had to work hard until about 3/4 of the season then i practice i got very little playing like once or twice that was all but i still feel great i was varsity :D
Nevertheless it is a very good explanation in my opinion, unfurtunally my english is not strong enough ti understand all wath the coach is saying. Of course here is the football level not so high as is in the US. Is somewhere in the web a software that can help me with an audio translatio? Nice video. Thanks
ok im in highschool and i was wondering whats the point of feet under the body? i tried it, it made me less balanced and more exposed to chops. the way i run it is keep feet just outside the shoulders giveing you way more balance and allowing you to cover more ground then you would cover with feet together. so can someone explain this to me?
I think your dead on with the fundamentals 1 thing you should change inside hand down /// defensive linemen should mirror the offensive lines down hand this video is 5 years old is this the way you do it now ?
