another helpful video :’) I would also like to know what activities people do to pass time on the ship (like pingpong, card games, etc) and also how people save storage space on their phones with hard drives or their computers
And as for saving things/making backups, most everyone had some sort of flash drive or hard drive, because you never know if your phones going to get stolen or broken, or if your laptop will stop working meaning you’ll lose all your class work! so people would often download pics/make backup copies after every country just to be safe!
saving money for this trip is the hardest part for sure!! just try and decrease the amount you spend now on things like clothes and unnecessary items, and set a goal for yourself for how much you want to save!
and it might be a bit more expensive for you depending on what visas you need for travelling, so once your voyage's itinerary is posted (probably in 2022) be sure to check what countries are on it and which visas you will need to factor that into the cost!
but just really quickly, one of my biggest tips is to refresh your listings! if you go to your items and edit them, and then list them again they’ll be moved to the top of the searches again, so people can find them more easily. i refresh my listings multiple times per day, and that really helps :)
and i think depop is easier to sell on in my opinion, and you get a higher percentage of your earnings, so i’m going to be talking about that one in the video! poshmark has a ton of people posting things and not always looking to buy
i use the app depop more than poshmark these days (but still like both) - here’s a playlist with all my videos i’ve made about the two of them! depop! ru-vid.com/group/PL4DSibdoHr3LJ_dERB_gjeNJSB8NAe16m
For tuition? Yes! I'll attach the link to Semester at Sea talking about monthly payment options -- keep in mind that it says the earlier you enroll in the plan the lower your payments will be! www.semesteratsea.org/admission-aid/payment-plan/
Jess Horst thank you!! my plan is to apply 2 years ahead once I’m in college to do it my sophomore year or junior year :) I’m a sophomore in high school now :)
@@emmarylie3266 Awesome! You can always look at the itineraries for those voyages once they come out and compare the routes/countries they're going to to help you choose!
yes you can, the only thing to consider is how well credits will transfer! so look up on your colleges homepage about transferring credit from other universities... credits from semester at sea will be like getting credits from colorado state university, because that’s where the program is based through!
i just had a few issues because my school is private and wants you to take most of your classes with them, so they only accepted 3 out of the 4 classes i took during my semester abroad - but it was totally worth it!
Yes you do -- once you apply you'll pay a $1000 fee to reserve your spot. Then the rest of the payments aren't due until 90 days before your voyage. And up until that 90 day mark if you withdraw you can get refunded your $1000!
