Thank you again for your words! I’m 67 years young, and lost my husband of 36 years! And I’ve been pushing myself to sew and craft and I just don’t have the energy! I don’t know were to go! And I think there are a lot more people that are worse than me! I came across your channel awhile ago and love what you make! I just wanted to say thank you for your kind❣️Becky
And you are so welcome, I do enjoy being here and especially love the comments, it's how I connect to everyone! Thank you for taking the time to write! And please, just keep moving, the oppressive grief will start to lift. Sending hugs... 💜
Oh thank you SO much! I can't believe how much I enjoy making these. I think because they are better being imperfect, it removes the pressure, so just stitch away and let the stitches fall where they may! LOL 💜
My hands aren't very strong and since I cut the tendon in my finger I must have help pulling the needle through. I find it works great for me! Thanks for watching! 💜
This is an amazing work of art! I loved the funky patches individually, but it is so gorgeous as a finished bag. I cannot even imagine how many hours of work (play) went into creating it. Thank you so very much, Jeri, for your generosity in sharing your incredible talent.
Jeri, you would be an 💜amazing 🥰therapist - your voice, your creativeness speaks from your heart and I believe that you one of those special individuals that need to be in this world! I am a very premature old person (62 but 82 in my physical abilities BUT 16 in my childlike mind). So yes I went from a Hare to a Turtle, and finding life more struggling. But I refuse to be "old" and "bitter" due to my circumstances. That's why I am a creative soul more than ever! I believe I was born with art in my body, mind and spirit. People judge me because and can be cruel, but I am of the mindset that as women we need to UPlift each other and not tear each other down. I love having my friend Jeri in my "lj's studio 3" (I love the number 3) to chit chat, creative and share the lessons of getting older with grace and gratitude for what we have been blessed with. There's always someone much worse off than ourselves. x's lj💜
You said it all! My fav number is 5, BTW... AND, my middle girl is going to be a therapist. Has gone back to school for it. I will be one through her! 💜
Your bag is awesome!!! Love it! I'm wanting to make a protective pouch for my Kindle and your project has inspired me to do something similar. ❤ What a great message from your heart. I think what you're doing is truly a blessing for so many. I appreciate you so much!
And I am grateful for you Steph! I LOVE making these patches, they are another mindless, soothing, peaceful thing you can do while sitting outside, or when the TV is ok. For me it is a form of slow stitching. Thanks for watching! 💜💜💜
Love the beachy bag, I enjoy your videos Aging creatively was the phase that called to me in the beginning. I spent summers in Wildwood beach from the mid 80's to mid 90's best summers ever.
Wildwood is a hop and a skip from my place! Love going to the boardwalk to watch the people! LOL Do you remember a guy called Joshua Moonshine? He was an artist that painted with spray cans on the boardwalk across from Douglas Fudge. I think he was there in the 90's, I'm not 100% sure. I loved watching him and have one of his pieces. 💜
Wow…I love this bag !!!! I’ve ordered some of your cord & started my squares last night & I am so excited about this new project! Thank you for explaining this & I’m sure I’ll need to rewatch as my bag progresses. I love your voice & enjoy your videos a lot ! Thanks for sharing your talent!!! 🪡🧵💙
I never really thought of myself as having a good voice and yet people keep saying that I do! LOL I'm GRATEFUL that you all show up! 💜 And I saw your order! It's all packed and ready to go out, unless maybe it went out already! LOL Brian does that. Thank you! Oh and I started another bag!!!! It's addictive.
That is gorgeous Jeri. I do love your approach and creativity. I too am struggling with aches and pains limiting me. Mainly my back…so am trying different chairs to help.
My back is a real problem... I am pretty active despite it, but I know my limits. Get a heating pad and sit against it a few times a day, keeps your muscles from tightening up. Put a pillow behind your lower back when you're sitting in a chair. (my PT guy told me that) Sending hugs! 💜
The bag is just so fabulous! I LOVE the shoulder strap so much. And the patches...and how they go together...and just the whole thing. Amazing job on that!
@@JeriBellini I have a growing pile and am knee deep in this latest obsession. 😜 I love these patches and keep stealing time to work on them. They are so much fun. 😄
Ohh 😃🎉🎉🎉 It is Beautiful!! And your individual little patches are Lovely!! Thank you! I also am very interested in your subject of aging creatively! Thank you. First time watching your video. Wonderful. Thank you 🌼
Oh I am so in love with that. Awesome job ❤️ I watched the other video. I will enjoy you doing more videos like that. I can't tell you enough how happy I am that you are back.❤
Thank you! I am going to sit and figure out the hours, but first, I MUST clean up the MESS I created while immersed in this project. You can feel me I bet! LOL 💜
Oh I like this but was hoping for a more in depth look at how you added the straps....I am a newbie and this is puzzling me. Also, what type of closure does this have?
No closure, it's just an open bag, like a shopping tote. I'll take some more pictures and post them on my Instagram later (recycledparts4art). The straps are just stitched on to the sides. 💜 I'm going to do some Zooms over the spring/summer. You could join one and ask questions then. Get on my newsletter for that. Links are all below.
Love the bag. I bet it took a while to jigsaw them together. I also like to work without a pattern which means a lot of problem solving when it goes pear-shaped!
I actually pinned them so I could show the finished bag in the video. I worked on that bag all week and was bound and determined to get it done enough to show you guys. I'm going to stitch them on, and I'll show it in a show-and-tell video after I get to the beach. 💜
Love the bag!! The handle is definitely the “cherry on top” LUV IT!! I’ve made some of that fabric cord, but I think yours is a bit thicker..how wide were your fabric strips? Thanks sweetie!
Umm you know I do actually. And I just thought of that last night. I made a personal channel years ago when we bought our fixer upper house and documented a lot of it. I'm surprised YT let me change my channel name, I used to be "recycled Parts 4 Art" it's our business name to Jeri Bellini, that's what my house channel is called. Hmmmm, very interesting 2 channels with the same name! LOL I'm glad you're here! 💜
