Sup foosers!
This week we're talking about zones, and the "funnel D" is as simple as it gets, and 90% effective against more players. Please note that this zone can be broken down though by a great 2 bar....
Thankfully, most 2 bars aren't great :-)
Enjoy!
If you have any questions, please let me know!

Good stuff. Thanks for the video give me something to practice. Do you have an order to you practice sessions or just wing it? With all this practice going on is is there a right and wrong way to do it? I would hate to be developing some bad habit. Also if you have time I would love to see a video on passing from the 2. Thank you your videos are very helpful!

I have a video on 2 bar philosophy, and how to pass/shoot intelligently :-)

When I was playing a lot, I would do ball control for an hour, 3 bar, 5 bar, 2 bar. When I got older and couldn't do those long 3-5 hour practice sessions, I would focus on one shooting bar a day, mixed with 5 row. Now, I just focus on the 3, 5, 2 however I feel. It's very sloppy and undisciplined. As for is there a right way and wrong way to do this - YES - ABSOLUTELY! It's very in depth, but if you watch my other videos, you'll see that I am a proponent of being very tight with hardly any variations to your game. 1 pass, 1 shot. No trick shots. The fewer options you have, the better you become...the faster your body becomes...the better your read the defense through experience. Check out all the top players - Moore, Mares, Spredeman, Todd, Park, Gummeson...all have a very classic controlled tight game. There's tons of variation on the release points and timing, but mechanically, their games are all low option. This is how you practice. This is how you become great. :-)

What if instead of passing the big white circle and do a square shot, they just pass it very quickly to the other guy and hit it straight with it? I usually do that when I have hard time doing pull or push shots. But then I'm not a pro and the people I play against are mostly noobs. I guess pro players can defend shots that are done using passes?

That is super noob. :-) You can drag it very far and cut back for a pull kick, but that's an option. You still need a long to go around that. You still need all the passes and shots, and a high foos IQ to break this zone down. This zone is 90% effective against low caliber players, or players with a weak 2 bar. This zone will absolutely separate the good players from the average ones. Also, this defense is excellent against open handed shooters...as they lack the spray.

Another thought I had...it seems like you're describing a pull kick. If so, that shot cannot hit all the options. You cannot go short...spray...etc. In that respect, it is a very predictable and limited shot. That's what I meant when I said it's for noobs :-)

Hello there, Do you mind giving me this table's dimensions, the length of the bar, the height of the player and how many players for each team because i am going to make this table at home from scratch. Greetings for Egypt.

Do you ever try to block with the three man rod, to have the possession right from there? I guess it can be useful, if you're playing against someone who is very good at blocking your two men rod and passes.

Yes, that would be ideal :-) I would say at a higher level, steals from the 3 bar are rare, because you really want to stick in your zone. A 3 bar steal is a luxury, so better to force the shooter into what you want (i.e. take away 2 passes or shots). Once you start racing your defense...you are vulnerable to the shooter to aim at your men...which breaks down the zone. Make sense? :-)
