@@lc3853competition inspires people to get better. How about i end this chain and call it like it is: The problem is different from person to person on an individual basis.
And for once, and God's sake, there wasn't some of the obnoxious kind of wrestling parents present, so we can enjoy watching our kids squeezing and levering the bejeezus out of each other in complete peace.* 😂😂 *obviously a joke (the last part at least)! 👀
Congrats on having made this difficult decision and my deepest respect for pulling through with it.. or as my granddad said it: "You're never too old to do what makes you happy and change what doesn't; but how can something that makes so many people happy, be a bad thing." I'm not trying to overact, but when he said that to me, my jaw dropped so deep, I could've ladled up some of the earth core's magma and by the time it gets up, it turned into an obsidian ball. 😅 So my best wishes go out to you, may the treatment/transformation go well and stick, giving you back your happiness and making you feel better and better every day. 🌹
and unlike striking sports they don'y have to worry much about brain damage from a young age from competing I think everyone should know how to strike but be careful with how much your kids get hit in the head
I don't think I could walk more than 10 feet without falling down when I was 4, let alone wrestle effectively! These two boys are amazing and what great coaching/parenting!
Precious and innocent and learning how to complete. Letting them know there are rules , it's awesome. Props to these loving and caring and responsible parents. I'm surprised there not wearing head gear.
What an outstanding example of consistent healthy practice, competition, athleticism. sportsmanship, and perhaps more importantly, most-outstanding parenting. As a parent of 2 little ones, and a retired professional athlete, this was truly inspiring!
It's ridiculous. They're too young. Be burned out by the time they're 8. That's what is wrong with fathers trying to live out their fantasies through their children.
@@jg6698 google my name. Yes, that’s me on stage 100% drug free. And, yes, that’s me winning the Nationals. Yes, that’s me with 2 degrees from UC Berkeley. Yes, that’s me with a doctoral law degree from UCLA. Yes, that’s me listed on the California Bar as an attorney. And most importantly, yes, I’m a father. Will pray for you as you seem blind.
@@artshahnazarianesq.6774 look guy, I played 3 sports through high school, watched my kids and grandkids play. If you don't think there is validity in what I'm saying about burn out and some dads trying to live their dreams through their kids you are sadly mistaken.
@@EarthSurferUSAmy elementary school consisted of watching black kids have sex on the bus and getting jumped on the bus by a dozen kids way older and me being the only one getting into trouble because suspending them would have been racist
I remember my kid’s 1st match in the 9th grade. It wasn’t pretty. He was a chunky, clumsy kid… He ended up becoming the State D3 Heavyweight Champion in his senior year, going on to a good showing at all states too. He earned the 1st state championship in the school’s history. What an amazing ride it was. A lot of time spent in uncomfortable bleachers, waiting through hours and hours of matches to cheer him on. I couldn’t recommend any sport more highly for the personal development of kids.
Having coached HS wrestling with all its intensity, rivalry and trashtalk, this has been so refreshing and hilarious to watch. Thanks so much for the post. Lil doods were awesome!
Honestly they looks like they are just having so much fun 😊 I love it!!! The excitement/ side dancing 🤣 you can tell they just have love for the sport over all and have not been pressured into it
This will serve these kids so well throughout their youth. It teaches them early on not to see themselves victims. Self awareness and defense are a lifelong skill set. Bravo to the parents.
I love that these young men are learning a sport, behaving well & having fun. It’s so important that kids learn early to respect eachother and I believe good sportsmanship is an excellent way to do that. Great job to the league and the parents and the young athletes! It also promotes concentration and taking things seriously while still being able to have fun. Awesome job! 👍👍
Finally, I have found a sport that I can watch. How long has it been since you watched any professional sport and saw the athlete smiling while they were competing. Smiling and actually enjoying what they were doing not worried about how they looked or showing off or making a name for themselves. This is just the best white in these 2 little guys go after it.
Every adult in this country should watch this video and take example of how to have fun and compete at the same time. Doesn't matter how good you are wrestling teaches pride and both these little ones are going to grow up with plenty of it. I miss this so much my little guy is 26 years old now finished his 6 years in the Marines and is now expecting his first child I hope I succeeded by bringing him up the great sport of wrestling.
@@jg6698 that's where your kind of wrong, they either like the sport or don't. There is no in between. Wrestling is such a demanding sport that you either grow to love it and keep doing it or you quit. There is no burnout
@@jasonmichaels5796 Agreed 100%.........I wasn't the best but I started all 4 years in high school and was captain my senior year. Okay, maybe I was the best.
As a former wrestler, I have to say it taught me so much about discipline and not giving up. It helped me to be a a starter for every game of rugby league as a young teenager (very small teenager). Continued playing the game years later as a 27 year old reserve grade player.
Rugby union for me. Started at 7. No health and safety in those days 🤣🤣🤣 But yeah it so important for kids to get into team sports teaches them so many skills not just the sport aspect. 💯💪
I wrestled in HS and raced dirt bikes after HS because all I ever saw in team sports since a little kid,--was a dictator coach and a bunch of workers jumping up and down. Discipline is for the self,--not the commune.
I always wanted to be a daddy so I could see this in person. Now I'm almost 40 and no wife/children. I feel robbed. Moments like this would have been the highlight of my life.
@@dae-cj3qo not really, no. I'm now dating a woman, she has three kids. They're great, but almost out of highschool. I guess I'll take what I can get in that regard and enjoy watching them growing up and doing the things they enjoy. She doesn't want anymore kids and is close to her mid-40s so I can understand that.
I had a couple of 40 pound 5 year-olds on my youth wrestling team. They met each other at Districts. The final score was 23-22, and the ref was going insane.
I am a high school wrestling referee who occasionally has the opportunity to officiate these little dudes. They are so darned cute! Sometimes I struggle between my duty to blow the whistle and just pinching their cute little cheeks! LOL. But seriously, it's so much fun and when they start out this young, they are darned good wrestlers by the time they hit double digits at 10 years old!
This made me smile. Its wholesome. Good coaching, kids having a blast. You can tell the boys have been getting time and attention from their coaches. Cant wait to see the little athletes of today become game changers as adults. Thanks for posting.
Love it for the values I see getting installed so young. Also love wrestlers! As football coach you seek out these guys with heart , determination and motor!!! Guarantee these young dudes will be fine young men. Guaranteed.
It's the smiles and the obvious enjoyment that these boys have that really gets me. We lose that as we get into High School and College. Thanks so much.
I wrestled in college so I felt it was my duty to coach and referee when my nephew started wrestling at about that age. He wasn't much better than these kids and had a blast coaching him. I'd actually get more nervous for his matches than I did for my own! He went on to have a pretty distinguished high school career. Loved it but refing the peewee was tough tho. To much aimless flopping around, but loved every minute of it!
Ah yes, that "aimless flopping around." I call it "spaghetti wrestling!" As an official, it makes it super important to hold giving points until control or change of control is actually proven.
If you want something to fall asleep to, the WNBA is another white noise sleep inducer. Lol😂 The wrestlers in this video are easily more entertaining and sportsmanlike than the wnba players with their missed layups and ill behaviour / punchout brawls etc.
That is the best thing I’ve seen in a long while. These 2 wrestlers are outstanding ! Good competition , great sportsmanship, great coaching and parent involvement too
This is pure wrestling at it's finest. You could be free and just have fun. Honestly we all love to wrestle,we all want to win, but what about the fun in it all. Things got serious,or get serious about the 6th grade. For me I let the kids have fun. Do you know you can learn so much more about your kids that you coach just by doing so. They become the teacher. I know it sounds unbelievable but that's how I won six championships. I love this sport keep doing what you're doing.
The parents, ref and coaches are doing a great job here. These kids are showing some knowledge and having fun. Just high fives and clapping with a little direction during the match. Kudos all around.
I have been watching my grandson wrestle since he started wrestling at age 5. He is now 13 years old. He looked just like these 2 little fellows when he started. He has won several state championships. He is now so fierce and a great competitor. So proud of his dedication and commitment to wrestling since he first started as such a cutie pie like these little guys to the champ he’s become. 🤼♂️
Love the calmness each of these sweeties showed on their faces. They were having a good time. Too bad it does not go into the real adult world of wrestling.
