On the second to last lap on turn 3-4 the one kid was pushed inside the track and couldn't have stopped it. Then on 1-2 and 3-4 the other kid who bumped him out tried to dive bomb him. Look how close that kid got to hitting the official. That should be grounds for immediate removal from the sport. He was dive bombing multiple times and nearly hit an official. Intentional wrecking is not sportsmanlike at all.
@@minglingli7097 their actually is assh*le, the car must be under it's own power crossing the line bcoz winners have won in broken and was confusing so they changed it to working cars only can finish and win.
split second decisions are usually not well thought through. i just ask myself what the heck she did at that spot while the race is still on - also the other guys in her back are chill af, could have had an eye on her too, _(they probably had, but just watched her bum)_
@@Z0RDR4CK she said that she had walked that way two other times before during 250 race and heat races, but this time she was the last girl and had to grab the boards before walking back which seems to have delayed her and by the time she walked back the 450s were coming round to complete the first lap. The start of the race the bike are going the opposite direction as they join into the normal track and the girl was walking towards the start gate where she would have been out the way.. if she was 10seconds faster she’d have been well clear. Unfortunate timing but she was okay.
I'm gonna guess that since it was at a road course with a lot of elevation changes and parts of the track where the cars can literally slam into the ground, it finally broke off at that point. Still was hilarious to see live!
It was COTA (Curcuit of The Americas) and it looks like one of the flat parts of the track where the housing came off the truck and COTA has nothing on Elevation compared to Sonoma which is another track they run that has a small hill that you go up on 2 different points of the track so I don't think Elevation was the problem there
@@masoneveridge4078 I suppose what you mean about it not having much to do with the elevation changes, makes sense. But, I think that with not only the wheel hop and old parts, but also the parts of the track where it's easy to hit the bottom of the vehicle, (like over the curbs in corners), is likely what caused that to happen?

Looks like that's where the end line of the pit lane is, so all three of them were just try to "get out the pit lane as quick as you can" (said as the commentator) and gave too much throttle that resulted in a spin.
Portimao circuit is built on unusually rough terrain, and there's a sudden drop where you exit the pit lane, it's possible to lose traction there if you mess up.
1:35 Mythbusters said this was impossible, they were testing movie myths where someone ties a cable around axle and pulls it out .. well apperently they were WRONG, it IS possible and racecars are reinforced and built to withstand extreme forces. i've also seen axle pop out on a normal car, but that could have been extremely bad maintenance and rust, but on racecar there's no such thing, they check the car multiple times before allowing it on track.
