Why would you think lethal puzzle when there’s a huge board to clear, no draw, no damage in your hand, barely any on board, high health opponent, defile and spell power in hand...
at 2:16 u can board clear with 4 mana only hero power and Defile Skulking Geist attack Voidlord 3/8 make him 4 hp Rin, the First Disciple and 1 Voidwalker attack Voidlord 3/9 make him 5 hp 3xVoidwalker attack Voidlord 3/9 make him 6 hp hero power on Drakonid Operative then cast Defile
I actually think this is the only suggestion that's better than mine to save one zealot. Everyoen else is saying i could have saved both which isn't true if i wanted to deal with the death rattles. But yea only 30 seconds I couldn't get it perfect and the zealot is dead anyways when i have no more spells and am just dropping nzoth to win the following turn so i'd have likely blown it anyways just to be sure XD quick maths are tricky. props on the better solution though
Defile dude could've easily saved both of his spellpower. You can easily save 1 by just trimming the Void Lords to 7,8,9 HP play spell power Defile. You don't even need the spell power if you swing geist into statue, swing voidwalkers into Void Lords to line up their hp to 7,8,9
Yeah for some reason everyone is impressed by him wasting 2 of his cards.I mean first thing to come anyones mind is to make 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 with defile why bother wasting spellpower since he has 3 voidlords if you put them each at different hps you will always full clears. Its the most basic use of defile
i thought about it myself over couple minutes, i think you're wrong, because if the optimal play is just playing defile that turn, then swinging geist into statue would make it so that there is no activation at 6 health, i think.. because the only 6 hp minion after geist trade is rin, but rin would die to obsidian statue deathrattle before that happens
actually the best way if im not mistaken is to line up the void lords HPs to 6,7,8 (by using hero power on 9 health to reduce it to 6) after trading with 2 void walkers. Then trade geist like you said into the statue, and that should make it full clear. phew that was a brain teaser....
puzzle at 2:40 hit geist into obsidian statue and hit 1/3 into 3/8 voidlord and 1/3 into 3/9 void lord and defile with no spell damage. please somebody tell me if this is correct
2:15 Puzzle Solution: Hero power 3/9 Void Lord, trade 2 void walkers to line up Void Lords HP to 6,7,8 Then Trade Geist into obsidian statue. then the whole board lines up perfectly from 1 HP to 8 HP and all the void walker remains die too :) (took me a lot more than 30 seconds to get to this unfortunately)
this one have board clear with 4 mana, hero power and Defile Skulking Geist attack Voidlord 3/8 make him 4 hp Rin, the First Disciple and 1 Voidwalker attack Voidlord 3/9 make him 5 hp 3xVoidwalker attack Voidlord 3/9 make him 6 hp hero power on Drakonid Operative then cast Defile
Geist attacks Obsidian statue. Rin attacks one of the 3/9 voidlords. 1 voidwalker attacks 3/8 voidlord. 1 voidwalker attacks remaining 3/9 voidlord. Play just defile. 1 hp: Kabal talonpriest 2 hp: Geist 3 hp: Rin 4 hp: Statue 5 hp: Dragon Voidlords have 6/7/8 hp respectively. Hence everything dies, including the summons.
Everyone saying "this puzzle is so easy" "he could save both of his spellpower" but try to think that with limited time and so much deathrattle cards on the board. I dont say its impossible to do it better, but i dont think is SO easy to think that solution for the most players. Especially after having seen so many missplays in hearthstone history.
The Darkness works so much better with the Rogue Deathknight. Play Valeera the Hollow on turn 9, then turn 10 play TWO copies of The Darkness and put six candles into their deck. They only need to draw three candles to activate both Darknesses, and they you got two 20/20 minions on board. Enjoy your win! Unless Twisting Nether, haha. :)P
It's easier said than done. I've been trying since the expansion hits to make the damn thing work with Valeera. The problem is Valeera is easily whittled down, either I draw Valeera or Darkness last or I battle a Priest.
I run it basically like a Mill Rogue deck, with Coldlight Oracle and double Vanish and whatnot. Plenty of Card draw! Also use Skulking Gheist to (possibly) burn 1-drop spells out of their hand and deck, increasing odds of candle draw! It works pretty well for me! Its no top-tier deck or anything, but I get The Darkness pretty consistently and its fun to play, plus I win fairly often, so yeah! :)
2:30 used 1 more tainted zealot than necessary. Trade geist into 3/9, trade all voidwalkers into other 3/9, hero power 3/8, play 1 tainted zealot, play defile. Talon priest is 2, zealot is 4, voidlords are all at 5, rin at 6, nzoth at 7, statue at 8. Since voidlords died on 5, 3 triggers go off killing all voidwalkers.
Full clear puzzle solution without spell damage or hero power. Send geist into statue and send 2 voidwalkers into one of the 3/9 voidlords. Send 1 voidwalker into n'zoth (Just in case obsidian statue deathrattle kills off Rin and ends the chain.) Geist has 2 health. Statue has 4, N'Zoth has 6 health. voidlords each have 7 8 and 9 health. There is a health ladder up to 9 with Talonpriest -> Geist -> Voidwalker -> Obsidian Statue -> Drakonid Operative -> N'Zoth -> Voidlord dies and summons 3 voidwalkers -> 2nd Voidlord dies and summons 3 Voidwalker -> 3rd Voidlord dies and summons 1 Voidwalker -> 1st wave of Voidwalkers die -> 2nd wave dies -> Last Voidwalker dies. Then you have 8 mana left and can start get Rin's first seal started and hero power their face. I think this would work, but please let me know if I'm overlooking something.
With the time allowed i'm impressed with the defile turn but I don't think any zealots are required . 1. geist into statue 2. rin into 3/9 voidlord 3. 2x voidwalker into other 3/9 voidlord 4. Defile 5. Hero Power face. (opponent has one more health) alternatively if you put the geist into the 3/8, do the rest of the turn the same, but play a zealot before defile you can hero power face and avoid letting the statue heal if you think the 4 damage is worthwhile
just hit geist into statue (gives 2 and 4 health), rin into 3/9 voidlord (gives 6 health), then hit 2 voidwalker into the other 3/9 voidlord which gives 6, 7 and 8 health voidlords so all the deathrattle spawns (9 times 1/3 voidwalkers) will die in 11 procs from defile. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 health are on board.
2:17 - He could have spend only 4 mana on the board clear, doing this: 4/6 into 3/8, 3/6 into 3/9, all 1/3 into the other 3/9 and hero power it, play the Defile.
At 2:17 he could have just run a 1/3 taunt into both the 3/8 and one 3/9 and played both spellpower/divine shield minions and it would have cleared the board too...
If I'm not mistaking he could have used only one spell damage minion at 2:50 4/6 into the 4/8, three 1/3 into one of the 3/9, the 3/6 into the 3/8, hero power the other 3/9, zetalot, defile, done
Correct I could have, I believe. Was under pressure though and it was 100% a dead card going forward was just gonna nzoth so would have thrown it out anyways just to make sure XD but this is a better solution so props!
apDrop of course it's way different when you're actually playing, it's easier to do maths when you're watching somebody else lol (did you win the game?)
