Against guys use paper and against women use stone in the first round. There was a study on this years ago and I have used this trick several times and it works most of the time.
i pray to Yogg every time i summon him. Sometimes he is in a rush, does his job and kills himself to go back to what he was doing, but nevertheless im always greatful, in Yogg we trust? NO! i've got a better quote i use: "Yogg is always right". There was this time Yogg replaced my whole deck and hand with a random warlock one, i lost my best cards, mind you i was playing ramp druid against a Priest control, the match was already hard as it is and this fvcker made me play RNG with warlock bullsh*t. Guess what! i won that game! "Yogg is always right" he kills your minions? you didnt need them! he kills himself? he must have seen a future where your oponent stealed it from you! He literally made you lose the game on the spot? He was just saving your time! That game was lost anyways! Yogg is always right.
@@bvbxiong5791tbf his rank is still super high, 60 something in this vid right? It’s just the meme to only show his bad luck. Clearly a very good player
3:51 its literally a 50/50: there's only two ways the 8 damage can be distributed amongst the 9hp on the opponent's side: either the minion gets hit once or twice, ie. lethal or not lethal respectively.
Ok. Situation one: Minion gets hit with the first one and the rest goes face. Situation two: Minion gets hit with the first one and the second one. The rest goes face Situation three: Minion gets hit with the first one and and the third one. The rest goes face. 4: 1st and 4th 5: 1st and 5th 6: 1st and 6th 7: 1st and 7th 8: 1st and 8th We have 8 situations for "minion gets hit first" situation and only one of them leads to lethal. Homework: Count the cases when the minion gets hit second.
@@HearthTrolden Yeah whoops, probs should've done the maths before running my mouth. So, eight cases where minion gets hit second, one of which is lethal, but another has already been counted (minion hit 1st and 2nd) so 1/7 cases are lethal. Repeat for "minion hit by third shot": 1/8 cases are lethal, minus the two already counted (1st and 3rd, 2nd and 3rd) =1/6 cases are lethal. Minion hit 4th: 1/5 5th: 1/4 6th: 1/3 7th: 1/2 8th: 1/1 Total unique cases: 8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1=36 Cases where lethal occurs: 8 (one for each pass) Chance of lethal: 8/36 = 2/9 So worse than 1/2, but much better than the number you gave in the video, which was the chance of that specific lethal. Can I have half a point? :p
@@aersal2543 Yes, but as soon as the minion gets hit twice, then the hero won't die. So he had to win the 50/50 7 times to be able to get lethal. It's like Trolden showed, 1/128, not 50/50.
3:53 Trogg MUST hit 8 times, there are 7 + 2 hp on the table, trogg hits only acceptable targets with hp greater than 0, it turns out only 2 options, either he hits 2 times in the creature and 6 in the face, or 7 times in the face and 1 time in the creature, there are no other options, its clear 50/50
Yeah, and Trolden's fractional probability overlay is bait. The only thing he's actually calculating there is the probability of successive hits to face, which is not the probability that actually matters here.
But those aren't equally probable. Hitting the face 7 times requires either missing once then hitting 7 times in a row, or hitting once, missing, then hitting 7 times, etc. There are 7 ways that can happen, and each one has probability 1/2⁸. Alternatively, 7 shots could go face straight away with probability 1/2⁷ = 2/2⁸. So the probability of hitting face 7 times is 9/2⁸ = 9/256 = 3.515625%. (A simpler way to think about this is to imagine that there was no limitation, so any shot could go either way. Then there are 8 ways to hit exactly 7 times and 1 way to hit 8 times, and those all correspond to the winning cases in the real problem. Hence, 9/2⁸.)
I mean that one is a 75/25. There is at least 6 guaranteed hits to face, then it’s a matter of winning the flip on the 7th or 8th hit, where you have a 50% to win at 7 shots and then a further 50/50 to get the 8th shot if you lose the 7th flip, thus 25% of the time you win on the 8th shot, 50% you win on the 7th and 25% you kill the minion
@@Nafghar yeah absolutely the math isn't even close to correct because it can terminate earlier, but I figured that I worded it "cleverly enough" for at least some people to believe it. Running some code to simulate it the odds of victory seems to be around 3.5% which you can obtain by considering all combinations that lead to a loss, which is any instance of two hits against the minion in the first 7. Winning outcomes are: - 8 hits face: 1/2^8 - 7 hits face: 1/2^8 * 8 = 1/2^5 (Hit against the minion can be any of first through eighth) add them up and the odds of victory are 9/2^8 = 3.5156% In the end I guess the comment wasn't as funny as I thought it was initially
@@pokemonrampagemake Your comment was funny to me and since I thought you might be trolling I didn't make an effort to correct you (had the same answer calculated as you did above). I just dropped this short comment in case you might be serious which is always hard to tell in a yt comment.
