Faces are everywhere around us. They show that you can paint a portrait in many different ways. In this video I show you how and also show you extra examples of subscribers who submitted their artwork for this video.

Materials
The art materials I use in the videos are not sponsored.
I prefer to work on multi-purpose paper, more info in this video: • How to choose the RIGH...
In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video.
Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

the toy from germany clearly shows that germany is the motherland of fun and laughter. everybody who doesn't want to come to us for vacation because we're so agressive is only envious. (a friend from the netherlands told me that)

Oh interesting you are talking about this! I was just fooling around with something similar while at the cottage last week. I made a messy abstract painting, and when it was dry I looked to see how I could find a face in it. I used negative painting for the form, and then accented facial features with paint. I left them there and didn't take any pictures, unfortunately. But it was fun with no stress! Thanks as always for all that you do.

You and I have something in common when I was little I had this paneling in my bedroom that had a lot of stuff going on in it and I would see all kinds of things in the patterns. Guitars a man of a guitar in his back a cradle of a baby in it I’m autistic and I see my world and abstract I see my world and patterns shapes and colors that’s how I view the world.

Thanks, artist, for sharing your story. We had paneling, too, and I never got bored looking at it. When I'm daydreaming or staring while busy thinking about something, when i 'wake-up,' I almost always notice I was staring at a face. But when i consciously look at the same spot, it tends to dissolve. Amazing. Albert.

Thanks, Franca. It amazes me as well. The magic of creative minds. I use 200 grams drawing paper with a sturdy surface. It's not perfect, but good enough ánd it is cost-effective. Thanks for participating, Albert
